Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Well the 1st one [original with car] tried to grab 2 gears at once and destroyed itself. The 2nd gearbox lasted 2 months, it decided to eat the drive shaft seals. Number 3 box came direct from Renault but has taken 3 weeks to get here.

Anyone got one for sale? :(

Cannot find a decent one around! What are peoples thoughts on the Cup version? I like the idea of ABS and Aircon. I suppose a FF with a remap will keep up, performance wise?

Came to quite a rapid stop then!

I like them and hate them the only hatch back that has half a chance of keeping up with my daily in a stright line.

Thats fine. the engine has gone beyond rebuild point. 3000 miles is too many. so its being re built with a healthy addition of a gt25, a milder cam and less compression.

As this thread popped up again, just a couple of quick pics I took today, had my alloys refurbed and sprayed dark grey as well.

Im working on getting it lowered too :)

nice cars but I can't help think that Renault should've put a bit of extra styling on them. I adore the look of the Clio V6, and I always think the 1x2s just look a little bit...thin and high up? I dunno.

The V6 styling is a bit over the top imo... it wouldn't suit a 172/182. I think the standard 182 with cup packs looks classic... especially when it's lowered a bit (but not too much). Great, great cars... and I will miss mine like crazy.

*wipes tear from eye*

Got the car back £1206

On the way home the NSR wheel bearing started to whine! £47 later im happy :D

Just about to order a K-Tec Stealth so the spending is not over yet.

I love and hate my 182 in equal measures :(

Im not expecting much change from £1K in a few months time due to the cam and aux belt changes plus service and MOT. These little French hatchbacks aren't cheap to run.

Mines been cheap as chips for the smiles/performance. I'd say relatively speaking for other similar cars they aren't bad at all to run.

And a grand for belts mot + service, who's pulling you pants down? :p

Agreed, that smells like main dealer prices. Get yourself to a decent specialist, k-tec, rentech, yozzasport etc etc and get some quotes. Should be a fair whack cheaper than that.

Reaaally? Think a local renault were doing cambelt changes here for just 99quid!
I just got a full service (astra 1.8 coupe) which had cambelt, auxbelt and full service including screenwash etc for 340quid..

Cant be that bad on the clio?
