Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Should've said you needed cat to manifold, I have one that I don't need!

damn, need it for Thursday anyhow so the dealers getting one in for tommorow. £28 then 2x £9 for rear mounts. Cheers for the thought though!

Going to experiment on the old ones I think to make some ones that'll last a bit longer

Not sure how, as i'm tempted to try and make something that helps with alignment too

Got my Fabia splitter to attach too so might get that done thursday and all. Depends on time as I'm on afters at work so got to be there for 4pm:(

Just gave the 182 its first wash by me. 2 bucket method, clayed, washed, polished and then waxed. Also gave the exhaust a quick polish, interior still to do...

Need to invest in a machine polish and some tyre/plastic black.

Also need to get down to Skoda and collect a new front splitter as mine is cracked on the drivers side.

KTR induction kit sitting in a cardboard box on my living room floor. Thing is, I just can't decide whether I actually want to fit it or not  :o

A couple of people from the track day on saturday thought i had ITB's because of the sound mine makes from the induction. :p

I need to stick the gopro on the front of the bumper and record it

I've always had a soft spot for the 172/182, along with other such strange (out of character) cars as the ST220 and the 406 coupe. I need a cheap car and am thinking about getting one to use for a couple of months, and scratch an itch for once at the same time. I'd like to keep it around the £2k mark, is a 182 realistic?

I've owed some relatively expensive to run cars in the past, a Boxster S being one of them so I don't think a reasonable example will be to much of a worry.

Anything to look out for before I go out and buy one? The whole cup pack thing is a little beyond me.

You're looking at around £3K to pick up a 182 in reasonable condition. I just did a quick search on autotrader and the cheapest 182 within 100 miles of my address was up for £2950. High mileage ones do occasionally come up a bit cheaper.

You can get VERY lucky and find one for near £2K being sold by people who just want rid, or if there are some expensive bills coming up.

You're better off stretching and getting one that just needs petrol for the next 6 months

A 182 is overkill, got for a 172. A Friend picked up a really tidy Monaco blue one with the belts done for £1200 a few weeks back.

If its just to scratch the itch and have some lol's for a few months, you could even go down to phase 1 172's which are well under £1k now.
