Who here owns a Renaultsport?

RS Tuner + Airbag Module + ABS Module + Shipping + Paypal = ~ €300.

When you get it you then connect it to your car and take a screenshot which you send to Henk. He then emails you the correct map file for free - well it's included in the €300. They used to be available for you to download online (and I'd imagine between CS.net and OcUK we've probably got all the files kicking about) but he found loads of people were flashing the wrong one onto their car, hence why he sends you the right one for your car based on the information in the screenshot.

Out of interest to all who own one - what are these like for reliability? I found my dci to be pretty poor! Loved the car though and it handled quite well for what it was!

Tempted to look at a 172 which has done 66k and is on an 03 plate. Is it too cheap at 2k?

see if the belts have been done is the first port of call as thats a £600 job if the whole lot needa doing.

springs can snap, the shockers can leak but neither are massively expensive. think its about £50. a corner for shocks. rear wheel bearings can go relatively quickly.

washer bottle motors are unreliable.but cheap to sort.

Original exhausts can rust a bit + oem are expensive, nd the rear exhaust mounts go quickly.

sure someone else will.be.along with.a few bits.

basically, there are a few expensive bits of work, but they're relatovwly e
reliable and relatively cheal to.fiz

Had mine for 5 years/70k miles and had no problems.

As long as you don't skimp on the servicing and do everything properly no reason why they won't be reliable.

or Turbo charge them! mine went through driveshafts/gearboxes at a alarming rate but, was the most fun i ever had in a hot-hatch.

Needs more details.

If its had the belts done recently then it could be good. £2k is the top end of the market for 172's. They have really plumetted recently.

Whats wrong with some people

I know, and it turns out they literally just yanked them off and ripped the fixings. So whichever car they intend to fit them to it won't work anyway!

The great side of ClioSport came through for me tho, Russ_16v sold me a set for £15 which I just went and picked up. Top bloke

Some of the people on there are great!

Gave the car a good clean on sunday, full wash, claybar and polish/wax. The wheels took an HOUR to clean, and thats without taking them off  I have the RC5+ pads to thank for that. I haven't had the bumper/bonnet this clean in absolutely ages, normally because i can't be bothered to spend an hour getting the tar/bugs/other crap off. But its looking super clean and shiney at the moment and its restored my love for keeping the car clean.

I recently removed my carbon splitter because it was absolutely destroyed, so i need to get my new skoda splitter fitted. I know the photos don't look that impressive but getting silver this shiney is bloody hard!

Awesome, always great when a forum community does something like that

Don't like seeing curbed 2118s :(

I know :(

Low bucket seat + harness + high curb = that. Its only one wheel though! Not to mention where i park near work the road camber is just ridiculous, i have to try so hard not to curb them. The camber is so bad my back outside wheel is often off the ground. :p

Offer him £1600!

Exhaust and belts are the major expenses, and they have been done, so looks like a good'un.

Does sound like a decent buy that! ^^

Does anyone know how much volume difference there is between the standard k-tec stealth with the centre silencer and the supersport version without it? I'm on the look out for a stealth at the moment as my current exhaust has whistled over 5k RPM for about 2 years and now that I can mod my car I feel it's about time I swapped it :p
