Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Well, I've had the odd twitch from the back end before - but never lost it.

I didn't 'lose' it in this instance either, just the whole car went sideways like it was on ice.

Hit a roundabout going into an NSL and there's two lanes, was a bit greasy/wet but all was clear apart from some Volvo up my arse. Was only doing about 40 and the entire car decided it fancied being in the nearside lane. Squeaky bum time!

Was a little disappointed in myself, got done by the Volvo but it turned out to be an S60 R AWD.

edit; seems the S60 R AWD has 300bhp, quite an understated car.

I've stuck about 8,000 miles on mine since May?! I need to cycle more. 12k Service and MOT are due soon. Insurance in Jan and tax April. A nice steady flow of money to be spent lol.

A pair of Hankook V12s ordered, £145 delivered from Camskill. I'm not sure if that's a good price or not, but the fronts need replacing!

whats it worth

05 plate full fat 41k, fsh with all receipts timing belt done last year, recaros from trophy, eibach springs and miltech exhaust. mint condition with 1 years mot and 6 months tax. any idea of what these go for privately as there's big price differences across the country.

Without looking for comparative cars its hard to tell. Prices are a bit all over the place and are very subject to what the owner thinks its worth. The Recaros are going to get it a bit of a premium though, they are worth a few hundred at least.

Off to Castle Combe tomorrow. Hopefully nothing breaks. Would be nice not to come home from a track day with a shopping list :).

Had to stick my boring black mirrors on though :(, as my day glow yellow ones have faded :(

Set asking price to £4k with Recaros.

I'm not sure I'd want Recaros, sure they're supportive but do they offer the same level of comfort as standard seats?
My v12s arrived yesterday from Camskill, 24 hour service is damn impressive - the 9am fitting on Saturday isn't though :(

Probs worth paying bit more to get a good one with good history..and if you had to fit recaros yourself I imagine it would cost some pennies

Yea mine has FRSH, immaculate paint and had all the major service bits done 5K ago.

Only problem with it is one of the previous owners rattle can sprayed the engine cover and I need to replace the exhaust mounts. And it didn't come with the wing cup pack but I sorted that :D

There actually pretty comfy although as I've got two toddlers there not the most practical..they eat into the rear space a bit and don't allow the easiest entry to the back.

Sounds like a good one..mines came with receipts including belt change at main dealer and can't believe the price..expensive stuff.

Well my plans of coming home from a track day with no problems didn't work out. Looks like I've warped the front disks again!

There must be something going on. This is the second set of front disks I have warped, even with cooling ducts in. It also seemed to happen over lunch. On the last run before lunch is was fine, but then after lunch when things had cooled down the droning and vibration started, and got worse all afternoon. Any ideas what could be going on? Could the pads be binding to the disk when parked up?

Could have been worse though. Today I've seen exactly what happens when a Clio gearbox let's go at 100mph! The bottom of the gearbox was completely ripped off and the guy was pulling chunks of gearbox housing and clutch bits out of the engine bay! Another Clio died in a cloud of steam and a puddle of coolant too!

I didn't passenger you today, but I know from before you brake very hard & sudden (which does the job certainly :p), but maybe need to make it a bit more progressive?
