Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Look over at cliosport.net

They are always been sold and snapped up there.

(Buying used you have to buy an unlock code as well which is about £60 iirc)

The RSTuner remaps don't really gain you any power though. Maybe some torque and a better idle. But only by cheating with more fuel

If you want to get your car mapped properly, especially if you have mods, I would only take it to a specialist.

You can drive to Leeds and take it to the RSTuning rollers. The general opinion seems to be that they are the best...

Any remap without throttle bodies is only going to a small gain.

Although the RSTuner does not increase the horsepower much it does help to smooth out the power curve and as you said, better idle.

So I binned my anti rattle shims from the front brakes to see if that solves my "issues". They're still wearing quicker on both inside pads, switched the pads round to see if that'll make a difference. Also flushed the system with ATE Superblue fluid. First time on any car I've had that I've flushed the fluid completely lol :D (shows I don't keep cars that long really)

Then got in for the test drive after, started up hmm thats a bit lumpy. Then flashing EML , great a nice misfire has developed. It's had it before in the last couple of weeks as my Dad has been driving it for me as I've been unable to drive due to knee surgery, he drove it once and said it cleared up once it got a bit warmer. This one won't

So decided to sort my wonky exhaust out, Tigerseal has been used in the old mounts (with some positional bits in) to see if that will help. :D

So now need to go back to the parents house with my RS Tuner box and check the codes.
Only things I can think of at the top of my head are 1. Coilpack 2. HT Leads 3. Injector
Any other ideas? Its never skipped a beat till it got used intermittently so :(

Yeah ive read the most you can expect is around 10% with a filter and exhaust..

If the belts need doing in 3000 miles I would try and knock some money off. I cant tell at the moment but does it have the cup packs?

So after my car got hit by a neighbour on boxing day while it was parked, the car has been written off. I am still fighting the insurance company for how much I am going to get. But I am going to be atleast 400 down. Had all 4 turinis refurbed in December and 2 new pzero tyres.

I am however picking up a new inferno full fat 182 later today :)

That eBay one seems to have funny rear lights...
As with all used cars, one nice and easy way to get a feeling of whether it has been looked after is to check if it has got decent tyres on it or some cheapo rubbish.

Looks like those Euro style lights? OE ones can be picked up cheaply used anyhow.

Well I picked up my new 182 yesterday, it is great to be back in a Rsports.

So pictures time :D

FF 182 both Cup packs in Inferno Orange, FSH and very neat and well kept up.
Has a Lifelong exhaust which I am really liking just need to transfer over the warranty.

Baked Bean awesomeness! Love it'

OK, what lemon designed the front headlight washer? Turns out i have to remove the bumper to fit new ones.. :/

Remove the bumper, remove the washers and tie off the pipes, blank the washers and then never worry about them again. And no, it won't be an MOT failure.

As for mappings, the RS Tuner will smooth out the power curve and stop the lumpy idle. It also improves the MPG on normal road driving. If you have a lot of mods though then you will prob want a proper rolling road remap.

Cage will be painted soon, and then i will get the angle grinder out and start chopping stuff off/out i don't want. Then the inside will get a full respray before cage goes in. Need to make the other front door card, rear cards and boot card, already have the stuff just haven't got round to doing it. It should smarten the whole interior up and cover all the gaping holes/wires. Also ordered some lexan windows with sliders/4holes, and also got some 15mm hub spacers with 2 degree camber on for the rear. Just some new tyres to get now and then im ready for brands! :D

Thinking of buying the k-tec induction kit for my 225 as I'm getting bored of how quiet it is at the moment. The gains look fairly decent judging by what they say on their website (up to 13bhp and 13lbs/ft on a standard car). £180 though...
