Keep looking at the RenaultSport Megane. Been looking into them a lot over the last few days. 300BHP after a £450 map.

Anyone here got one? What are they like to live with day to day? Could you fit a decent size pushchair in the boot? Boot looks a bit small going by the pics.

Cant afford to buy what a really want next but these RS Meganes fall nicely into my price range and im sure it'll keep me happy until i saved up some more pennies.

Do they still have **** electrics?

Which Megane?

Crap electrics, no idea, the main problem with the Meganes were the window regulators failing.

I've had zero electrical faults with my Clio, nearly at 100k now.

Had my 265 coming up to 4 years now, not had any problems with the electrics but it was in the garage for six weeks last summer fixing an issue in the engine and then again earlier this year to fix an oil leak. Fun to drive, boot size is ok but nothing amazing, my wife currently hates it though as the suspension is too stiff and she's 8 months pregnant! I get just under 30MPG commuting (mostly on the motorway) every weekday.

Depends if you buy a Mk2 or a MK3

I have a MK3 275 Cup-S which has the diff and stiffer chassis. I live with it day to day perfectly fine.

The boot (in my opinion) is also fine, you will definitely get a pushchair in it

I average about 26mpg on my commute, but it's stop/start traffic.

Track days I average about 8mpg... ha

The French, like everyone else, don't build cars like it's 2001 anymore. The electrics are fine. The standard speakers are a bit crap though

Stripped the suspension off the car today ready for brand new genuine Cup Shocks on Cooksport Springs

Also got new tie rods and lower ball joints to replace the same time! Just waiting on the springs now!

Lower ball joint was a NIGHTMARE to get out of the hubs, literally the worst ive had! Went to fit the new ones and they have me the wrong ones! Cheers!

Still waiting for my Cooksport springs to turn up. Fitted the new rear calipers which were on the breaker onto this one, just need to bleed them. Hopefully picking up some camber bolts and upper engine mount polybush today/tomorrow.

Hoping for a road test on Sunday!

Suspension all done, brakes done. Got bored with my spare headlights so gave them a quick 5 min clean! Came out good enough to use!
