I'm looking forward to test drives becoming available

I drove a Mk4 GT back to back at Bedford Autodrome with my 275 Cup-S and I found it a bit bland. Hopefully the new RS fixes that

The main thing I found strange, was them already confirming a 300bhp Trophy is coming. Didn't seem like the best marketing strategy. I'd rather wait for that.

Nah it makes sense. It would only alienate their customer base if everyone bought the RS with no news of a Trophy, then only to reveal a Trophy ver. That ver is only for diehards and track nuts really. Most people will just get the normal 280.

Having just got my own GT Estate with the 4 wheel steering I can only agree with what you've said. It makes the estate feel like a smaller car when cornering.

I bought an immaculate 2012 Megane RS 265 Cup a little over a month ago. It's an absolute weapon, I like it a lot!

I have had my 250 since Feb, and really loving it. Can recommend a remap, and moving the revlimiter back a bit

Thinking of buying a RS Clio 200 cup say 6-7k worth for some track fun?

Are they under powered now in car terms?

would probably modify it and trailer it there

No, the handing and brakes in just standard form make it a great track package.

There is a reason the Clio Sport line is one of the most common cars at track days, price and capability out the box.

Picked this up on Sunday

It has been well looked after, not been round it with a fine tooth comb, but it is more tidy than my last one. Has already been played with a bit, has intercooler, turbo cooler, ITG induction kit, exhaust system and 200 cell cat, RSTuning remap to 300+bhp

Did Bedford the other day, brands tuesday

Clio RS200 supercharged

Had a F12 ... Ferrari behind me so i turned on the charm, had a great couple of laps, he was sideways out of each corner and i was planted. Got black flagged for noise in the end, he came over shook my hand and said what a fun few laps

Had to use my megane to commute to work this last week. Damn these minging salty roads

One thing though, the cup chassis certainly feels every bump. My lass gets angry cos she can barely send a text message when I'm driving her anywhere lol.

Bought a standard Clio 197 last week. Don't do a lot of miles and had the need for something fun because I've missed it since my sorted golf MK2 got written off a few years ago

So far so good... A past owner has removed the centre silencer. This just for noise reasons ? It does sound good but the flat spot that research has me believe it has caused is pretty bad.

Reminds me of the golf which was on Webbers. Not how fuel injection should be... So do I add a silencer back in ? Or can it truly be mapped out ?

Yeah just a cheap way to get more noise, i did a center box chop on Megane 250. Does it have an induction kit on it? would be surprised if a center box removal would cause a flat spot
