Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Picked up a 2007 F1 R26 Megane Sport at the weekend, 100k'ish miles on it, single owner, extensive Renault service history. Clutch and cambelt was done 18 months ago, loads of maintenance and service work and most importantly, kept as standard. Feels like the previous owner had the money to throw at it for everything that might possibly need fixing whenever it needed fixing. I knows it's high mileage but i'll always take a high miler with FSH over a low without.

Body work is mostly immaculate with some very minor marks here and there but for an 11 year old car, looks really good. Previously had a Mazda3 MPS but this feels faster despite being lower power on paper, maybe the weight difference.

In car audio is woeful, feels like phone quality sound, wondering if just a head unit might improve the sound or I need to look at replacing the speakers as well? Can anyone comment on that?

No pics yet as want to give it a good clean first and was too busy at weekend to get it done.

Looking into a 2013 RS 265 cup chassis. Never owned a Renault and don't recall seeing this car in person but looks very nice. I currently have a 266bhp Scirocco. Anything I should know, look out for or be wary of?

Little bit jealous - I'm still looking. I have limited myself to sub 80k miles though.

I used to use cliosport back in the day. Not sure what it's like now.... I'd imagine still pretty active

Part of my clutch/pressure plate has tried to exit my clio 197 gearbox :(

Cut out on Monday and wouldn't start. Got towed by AA who said it was getting no signal from crank sensor

Garage I had to go too put a crank sensor in and when I went to pick up the car said "erm did you know there's two holes in your gearbox bellhousing"... Weirdly it started and drove perfectly fine so I wondered if maybe these holes where old damage as only had car since last year

Did about ten miles fine but it's now rattling when clutch is pressed. So now assuming something has came loose , took out the crank sensor and then tried but failed to exit the box

Do we think a new clutch will see me good ? :p Think I'm lucky that it hasn't put a hole through where any oil is

Picked up my R26 F1 Team on BH monday. No pics as I haven't given it the once over yet.

I will show you one from the weekend though, my first gift from the car, a knackered AC condenser :D

Nice car.

You can get android head units for that shape car, also speakers are easy to change out.

Just be careful... Your windows may stop working soon haja
