Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Budget sure is important... yours has the panoramic sunroof & Fuji lightweight alloys that's £3.2K of extras alone :p ha ha you got a bargain its right now probably worth more than you paid for it :)
I'm wondering what value will be like at the end of the deal. I think it will be above the given GFV at least, but anything can happen in that time

Probably going to go higher still than it is now for sure! ;)

Chip shortages are due to last into next year some german car companies are telling their customers Feb 2022  is the earliest delivery time. Renault UK are not planning to ship more than a handful of RS into UK next quarter (cars which are almost ready minus the microchips. Mine has not even reached the production stage yet :().

Crypto is rising again the 2 are linked and Q3 is always about new smart phones, game consoles & other high profit margin presents (car microchips are very low profit items apparently so do not get much priority right now ).

Mentioned previously by AWPC, think they've dropped it down to £26k now, not bad tbf (but private listing)

This is also a beautiful example, (pretty sure I saw this one for sale a few months back though at a cheaper price)

Gave mine a clean last night in the dark as I lost light quicker than I expected!

Grabbed a snap before leaving work, still love the colour especially in the sun ;)

Yes indeed lovely colour :) shame it takes them 5 months to build mine  The dealer also has one in same colour he paid big money for PPF BEFORE he even took delivery of the car! (bet his 20% employee discount helped a lot on pricing!).

I am still undecided if I will bother with G3 PPF as a car with small stone chips shows its been driven like it ought to be...learnt something useful about battery drain maintenance on the trophy if after turning the engine off you open the drivers door then close it again right before opening & exiting saves a bit of battery drain as the car then goes into battery off mode faster!

Why Renault cannot just mod the software to do that is just  as it takes up to 4 mins for the car to normally shut the battery down which is one reason it does not last long ! Glad the Sport 300 I ordered still has the normal battery system :p

On a brand new factory order its only £200-300 applied when the main dealer gets it to prep before handover (mine has an onsite bodyshop they are the biggest Renault dealer in the UK!).
(1) Renault Retail Group - GEN-3Glasscoat - YouTube

I looked into this a little for now I am not bothering but nearer the time I might look again. The thing is no ceramic coating, no super duper £1500 PPF wrap (some guy paid much this as soon as he got his from the factory! you can see his RS in very good company here!! (1) In The Bay Today: Detailing The World's Best Supercars - YouTube

is going to protect against anything more than a tiny little stone hitting it. Anything larger than a few mm is going to cause an impact as mass vs speed vs impact velocity etc etc. Just something you have to live with afaic

Ahh ok sorry I assumed this was the pricy option. £2-300 isn't terrible and could be worth it for a bit of piece of mind

And yeah imagine buying the wrap etc and a large stone damages it. Would be gutting
Anything larger than a small garden pea is not going to be stopped so this is the dilemma! Not sure there is much difference between the ceramic stuff you can buy & apply yourself vs a more expensive £1500 PPF wrap not seen anyone compare the 2 scientifically.

It might be a good idea to have the expensive PPF on the front of the car only & fit tyre mud guards to limit the damage from stones being thrown up but I have yet to see a car with a PPF wrap which did not look a little dull vs the factory finish as the wrap removes some of the metallic paintwork shine.

Seem to be having issues with my Radio since my service.

radio stations drop out on and off every 5 mins or so and Bluetooth audio disconnects after a few minutes too. Was fine to begin with. Can't see what could have happened to cause it?

Does that for me too, except its almost exclusively local stations (Heart Somerset drops out every so often while Heart UK is fine)

Funnily enough it's heart I've had on. I'll change it to some hard core gangster rap channel and see if it's any different ;)

Blue tooth seems odd though, maybe I'll reset my mobile first see if that sorts it but it connects fine to my headphones at work etc

Ha ha I saw 2 a few weeks back at the weekend going different directions first time I seen any on the road they are pretty rare some buy as weekend toys not many daily drivers (mine will be though!).

I intend to run it in the first week 600 miles just go on a few gentle cruises there & back again then gradually increase the revs until I reach 1800 miles will ensure the engine will be max power!

Had to cancel my factory order as the RS4 is OOP forever

No more will ever be made production is on hold due to the chips shortage  & Renault have quietly cancelled the entire line as its not restarting anyway this year as Palencia factory is on a 61 days shutdown as no chips available! But its not public knowledge yet:rolleyes:

The replacement is an EV only RS no-one is saying if that's limited to 112mph like all new Renaults are but sooner or later they will announce it.

Now the battle to get my deposit back from the dealer who does not respond I think I will try them again a few more time if no joy just reverse the charges on my credit card no way they can hold me to a contract for a car which will never be made is there?
