Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Well, if it was given to you as a gift recently, then you've only owned it since then.

This is something that is easy to check as well, as it's on your V5.

It's the document that shows who is the current owner of the car, as well as the previous owners.

So there's really no way of getting around it?

Saying I bought it this year just makes the quote insane (£1680) I am NOT paying that to insure a car for 12 months.

The registered keeper is the name of who is currently in legal possession of the car, so if a car has had 3 owners/registered keepers then there will be 3 different names on the V5.

Just to chase up my post fomr another day, I tried cliosport etc.. asking about bumpers for my mates 172, but still nothing back from them at all, ideally looking for red, but right now he'll take anything and get it resprayed, does anyone know, aside from the owners forums and renault where its even worth trying to search?

Cheers :)

So I just finished my test drive in a lovely 182. First impressions are good, one thing that surprised me was that it seemed quite a bit more hardcore than the r27. The suspension was a lot stiffer and it didn't feel as solid on the road. Clutch is hard as nails, reminds me of the s2000, is that normal? Also the powersteering was still fairly heavy, is that right too? Haggled 500 off so £4500. It had a cambelt and FS less than 1k miles ago and it's on 45k. Seem like a good deal?

Do you have a link to the 182 you bought? :)

The clutch is always going to be hard, French cars IMO are quite bad for this. Mine is ok as I am used to it. But driving friends VX and Ford cars, the clutches are super light compared to the Clios.

That’s the best point about the 182 is the hardcoreness so to speak, it really is a cracking car to drive as you feel so attached to it! The PAS levels maybe low so that’s why it may be heavy? Did you check the fluid levels?

But congrats :) A cracking car, and wait till summer when the roads are hot and stick to really appreciate how good the chassis and handling are :D!!!

Ha I had a Renault van some 2001 thing while got my belts done from an Renalult specialists; oh my days you needed legs the size of tree trunks to fully press the clutch! Not a nice experience.

Yeh the clutch was horrible at first but you soon get used to it!
My PAS fluid is low and the steering is therefore a little heavy, just need to find the right stuff to top it up with, does anybody know what to use?

Yeh i've been told to use that as well but theres different grades. I think it was DI, DII and DIII.

Not sure if you can mix them or not, i've only got a tiny amount missing (just below the low marker) so shouldn't need that much.

I'm sure I got Some Castrol Fluid TQ-D III Not 100% sure, but got reccomended this by a good car buddy.

Not at home atm so cant check the bottle sorry!

Anybody spiced the inside of there Clio up?

Wanting to do some Chaving!!!!!:D Nahh not really. Thinking of converting the dials to bright white SMDs an maybe some of the inside glossy black!!! Or maybe just do the dials.
