Who here owns a Subaru?

I'd get the lowering springs personally...

I know, I reckon the car would look a lot better. Yet a part of me says leave it on stilts. Would the WRX suspension be a straight swap onto the non-turbo? As I'd rather go down that route then get aftermarket lowering springs.

£50 cheap? That's the rate where I am :D

do u still have your sti front fog covers

I'm removing all the badges other than the STi and type uk one. Will look to get the springs fitted then. Also nice zunsport full front grill, thinking it will look good on mine in black, just ordered a pink 'i' badge too:p

Must Resist....

I've actually got my eyes on STI seats at the moment. Hoping I can pick some up cheap.

Don't bother.. you said you weren't going to mod so don't ! Springs, headunit, job done!

I have them... but they're not fitted as the fog surrounds are on as you can see from the pic above.

Zunsport full front grille like mine you mean? :p I'm wanting to remove the WRX and Impreza badge now as it's no longer even looking. Either that or I get the boot lock removed and have nothing on the boot just like I had my WRX... :D Or I just buy a replacement Type UK badge. Might get my friend to make me a Type KK for fun though. :D

Anyone know a good place to look for parts for Subaru ? i need an MAF sensor for an Impreza estate, part number 22680-AA360, its a nightmare tracking one down as on ebay they are all Air Flow Meter 22680-AA310 :(

Yes that Zunsport is what I want! Type KK would be great if he can do it in the right font:D

Fitted the dump valve this morning after much ****** and blinding, that hose clip is awful, also the blanking plug I bought online was too small so drove to Scoobyparts and bought a Forge 30mm which fitted well. Sounds good! It's not a chirpy sound like most just gives off a nice whoosh.

Scoobys cost too much to make big power with, dont handle as well as or go as well as Evo's. I can appreciate why people get them, the noise but after owning both a wrx sti and a VI gsr i know which rally hero i'd go back to should i get such a car again..

Dump valves don't give a chirpy sound, that is wastegate chatter or dump valve delete causing compressor stall (pigeon mod).

A VTA rather than recirculating Dump valve gives a louder whoosh as it dumps the compressed air.

A VTA dump valve is GENERALLY a bad idea on a scooby I am told, as it confuses the MAF sensor.

Anyone have any thoughts on the legacy 3.0 spec b?

Pondering one to replace my mountune fiesta ST. The fiesta is great on the right road but the lack of refinement gets a bit much. I like the idea of the legacy, a low profile image is good given my job and the places I have to park, but it still looks to have enough grunt and handling finesse to be fun when pressing on, and the flat 6 sounds amazing. The legacy seems a good buy, £5-6k seems to get a nice one so is not have to pay much assuming a fair trade in on the Fiesta. Manual saloons are a bit thin on the ground though!

I've driven the 2.0 legacy before and it was a nice enough drive, refined, well built inside, but nowhere near fast/sporty enough for my taste.

Hi Guys..

After suspension option, My car got a knocking noise from the rear, which is a common fault. so it what to do time...

Stick with OEM, coilovers or??????????

help need to see how much this is likely to cost

Car used on our dodgy roads...with hopefully some track time...hopefully

Like my teeth attached and spine working so nothing stupidly hard.

What scooby do you have?

I've got BC Racing coilovers and they'll do custom spring rates for you if you want.

I've got an STI so went with the standard 6kg/5kg but the WRX is 5kg/4kg and they will do a 4kg/3kg if you want a super soft ride, they'll also adjust the damping when they do this, not just whack soft springs on the same damper.

Assuming you have a newage 2001-2005 http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/c-bcf02/subaru-impreza-gdb-00-07-not-sti-05/

Thanks for the info, I have a Hawkeye UK STI...was thinking the BC....

Ah they'll be the same ones i have as i've got a widetrack 2005 Blobeye. For road use ive found the 6/5 ones to be about the same/very slightly stiffer than stock, but about a million times better on track and in sweeping corners.

As with anything suspension related make sure you get a good geo, i've got -1.5 degrees of camber on the front and -1.0 on the back and it seems a good compromise for road and track use without wearing the inside of the tyres out too quickly.

I have a machinic to fit them and get the Geo done, so I just need to decide what to be done, Car getting dropped of tonight for the mechinc to check what needs doing etc...

Thanks fo the help so far

I had a quick look at a black 3.0 spec b back wen I bought the wrx, lovely as it was, it was just a bit too refined and smooth for my liking :)

Really want a rare spoiler but hardly coming by any. One on the bay says it's silver but it actually looks gray. Then there is a carbon fibre one, looks so nice yet can't justify the costs! Ahh.
