Possibly going to look at a Hawkeye Spec D early next week.

I spoke to my Subaru obsessed Mechanic who says it should cost no more that 1.5k for new forged pistons as long as there's not much bore damage. Something to think about anyway.

I was given the explanation of 'Chocolate pistons, Poor stock map which is too Lean with too much knock to meet emission regs'.

So surely, remap and forged pistons and it's good to go, right?

Yeah I read about the poor stock map being too lean.

It has the prodrive performance pack which includes a remap which resolved that issue as far as I've read? I didn't want to spend money under the hood yet, but might look into it

As for fuel, I get the eml code for front lambda if I don't put vpower in it. Only did it once too, and within 5 miles it was up, filled rest of tank with vpower and it went off after about 5 miles, hasn't come back since.

Lots more to do but after dropping a new clutch in im a bit skint, new exhaust next month also new oil pressure gauge needed... sucks more money out of me than any woman :p

Images over 1,280 pixels wide should be placed in spoiler tags as I've done for you.

Cheers

Reasonably sure the CVT in mine has a problem, in S mode if you want to get going quickly it'll get to 4k rpm then change as though it's throwing you through the window, doesn't do it with paddles or in I or S# mode... trip to the dealer for me to take them out and it not happen lol

Yes yes, CVT WRX... inb4 should have got the manual

as per skoda thread i had my legacy and moved onto a 330s hatch.

Unfortunately i will be getting rid of it in the coming months (along with the rs200 clio in the pic)

Looking much better after having the rears tinted (scuse the insta-filter). Still haven't got these wind deflectors on yet.. Clips are strange. One way: the clip comes between the door and the wind deflector
Other way: The clip doesn't actually clip into anything!

Hopefully be picking up the new wheels next week if they are ready.

Should have rear lights, new horns and

How come your getting rid (of both too?).

Also nice seats - are they actually comfy? Might have to grab a pair..

1) need something a bit bigger and more frugal. Going skoda octavia vRS. Used to have a 3.0r legacy but it was getting on a bit and the option to get the impreza popped up. Not many estates around that have a good balance of fun and running costs. £500 a year road tax is something i could do without.

Added to that its rare that i even get close to using the potential of the car on a regular basis, sure hitting boost and breaking the speed limit in a few seconds is amusing but an average of 22.5mpg over 8000 miles isn't exactly brilliant (the legacy was about the same). Turbo lag in the 330s especially is pretty hilarious as the clio will smoke it in a 5th/6th gear drag race.

2) Seats are rare as hens teeth, very comfy depending on your frame. Were standard on the 330s hatch and an option for the 320/340r saloon. But the main reason i chose the 330s was for the touch screen nav/seats/keyless start.

Went from a standard Forester XT with a mild tune (260bhp) and a H&S catback to this Litchfield tuned puppy:
