Who here owns a Subaru?

My mate has an 02 STI which has done over 82k and he says he gets clutch judder too first thing in the morning when cold. No idea on how many clutches it may have had, certainly never had it replaced during his ownership.

My old classic used to have clutch judder sometimes when cold, my STI hasn't ever done it though.

Just purchased these:

Just need to get them fitted and set up.

Thanks for the advice guys.

What are those? Quite happy with handling tbh. Steering is a bit heavy, think tracking, balancing, changing track rod ends and power steering belt should help.

What level of psi do you use?

Thanks, the front could be a bit lower still but it's a massive improvement and won't cause speedbump issues.

Just went out for a drive and I am very impressed with the Tein springs, the car has much better road holding, massive difference over the standard black STi springs. Also removed the cheap dump valve and the ride is so much smoother now:D

Quick update.

Front splitter fitted, but still riding high...

Got Tim the scoob man in to lower it this morning...

Now sitting pretty in the rain :D ....

Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. This is exactly the look I'm going for - just wish I could find one for sale with most of that work done.

Still cant decide on Blob vs Hawk though damn me, pros and cons to each :(

Very happy with it at the moment, the car doesn't under steer like it used to and that's with the DCCD set to auto!

Go for the blob mate, 2005. Strong engine, IMO the looks are great and you get the DCCD and widetrack the hawks have without the issues of the engine requiring a rebuild.

Also removed the WRX badge, looks clean now just need it to stop bloody raining so I can give it a good polish!

Next on list:

Manifold (waiting to fit)
Harvey Smith Up pipe
De cat down pipe
Blitz Nur Spec R
RaceDynamix remap inc launch control and flatshifting with added pops and bangs

Perrin wing stiffis
Black sunstrip
Brembos repainted in bright colours

Think I'm done after that:D

Then sell it to me :p

Sold it a long while back, it wasn't being used much as most of my time working was spent either overseas or up and down the country so I got rid, saved money, bought couple of properties and am now spending a bit more time in the UK hence buying another one.

I did test drive a few cars from a Boxster to looking at a new M3 but for a Sunday spot of hooliganism the Scoob always ticks the boxes for me.
