Who here owns a Subaru?

Do subaru engines last long at high miles if they've had a somewhat easy life? I always got told they need a rebuild at higher miles?

The 2.0's should go on indefinitely with decent care (warming up/down/proper servicing), within reason. Mine's just ticked past 160,000 miles – and (as far as I'm aware), consumables aside, it's completely original. Runs like a top. Seen a lot of high-mileage 2.5s, too, but they're seemingly just a bit more sensitive and occasionally prone to self-disassembly – particularly the turbocharged variants and those that have been tuned.

Looks alright. Be worth a punt for our mate acme.

@Mal X bring ya jazz m8
well it needs some work.... like Bilstein coilovers, lowering and new tyres.......... because it's really bad right now in this rain, it's not really safe enough even as a normal daily, but engine wise and everything else it's perfect, our other Jazz is the same but that's only got 12k miles on it.

it's odd because i was scared of the 550hp Evo before i went to see it :D but it was miles safer to drive than the Jazz, in fact the EVO was the easiest car i've ever driven :eek:

Then you killed it dead and still havent shown us pics.

How you getting on with the new scoob?
ik :( was easy 248k miles in it as well.

The WRX is nice, but its a wrx. every time i drive it when i'm not just going to work its just a bit too slow, not quite enough brakes, wish it had another gear. look out the rear and there is nowhere to store my books, nowhere to have a picnic. It's better than no subaru, cos then i have to drive my alto instead, but i at the same time it just reminds me what i could have had if, if, if if................
Yeah jumper when are you going to release these pics? After brexit?
i am releasing them once amd fix there drivers and make a decent high end gpu :p

Not safe enough shouldn't be on the road.

That blown my mind. What?? Lol

It's perfectly safe for a normal driver but i drive fairly quickly, because it's when you take roundabouts at speed that you have to take care, or on a motorway in crosswinds.............on a motorway she is GODDAMN DANGEROUS, it twitches from side to side, veers all over the place, the steering wheel goes really light............and if a car overtakes you, you're instantly buffeted over to the left.

ha ha, but it'll still do 80mph through the New Forest..and it's nowhere near the redline either, i've got to give it to Honda the 1.3 engine is bloody strong in that thing........... mine i dont take on the motorway though, it's mom's Jazz we use for long drives.
