Who here owns a Subaru?

Acme £2k could get you one if you look around and look hard. Just bank another £2k to fix it if there are issues that need sorting.

I'd probably look for a good Turbo 2k for that sort of money. Even a £2k bugeye will be really ropey.

Late classics look really smart too. Still longing for my white v6 Type R <3

I just want something with a turbo which will get me to 60 in the 4's or 5's. Had three cars now which get to 60 somewhere between 6.5 and 7 seconds, which I'm bored with. And I've never had a turbo petrol! :p
the more you look, the more you get confused and the more the months fly past :D

Andrew wake up.

I got a 13 and you got a 14, Kosta pratically smashed you, went home, had his tea, posted his times up on here and went to bed by the time you got down the strip.

You got a 14.4 and a 13.7, trap was 101 on both.

My 14.1 was 103 trap. Not quite the grandma driving you like to portray ;)

Think you need to go back to school. 14.1 - 13.7 is not 1 second :p

I got 15.2. My car was 1.1sec slower. It's a crappy fwd diesel lmao

No Ryan, you slipped your clutch to buggery and we both know how that turned out. Compare both runs where we bogged down at the start and I destroyed you and that poxy chav mobile.

Vita, FWD cars are easier to launch than a sophisticated piece of Japanese fine art like my car.

You 2 better shut up otherwise I'm going to start stocking up on 2.5 ringlands.

How are they easier to launch? It's wheel spin galore with a fwd especially with a derv. Awd grips and my car is probably heavier.

You could learn a few tips from kosta lmao

I was trying to launch it hard, wasn't hard enough and it bogged. If I'd have done that in a FWD it would started to wheel spin which is easily resolved by letting off the loud pedal a bit.

I've got a load more experience launching FWD cars than I have AWD so understandable I didn't get it quite right on my first time at Pod.

Before we lined up, I did ask him to go easy on me. He didn't! :(

I am just joking around and by no means mean to cause offense to anyone. I will be at the next meet though so feel free to bring your broken ringland and try get what evers clearly on your chest, off. :)

@agw_01 the clutch didnt slip lol, i just rode on it for way too long, crap driving on my part, hence why we all started talking about the Kosta side step which i never got to try because of the rain. There will be a next time anyway, mr competitive! :p

@Vita i reckon you was the quickest diesel hatch there tbh quicker run than the mps and wrx i was against.

Launching AWD cars, particularly older ones, requires throwing your mechanical sympathy out of the window. On a FWD car you just simply gun it, perhaps get a little wheel spin and grab the next gear; on an AWD car it's not uncommon to drive over a part of the powertrain if you're really trying (on the strip, at least).
