Who here owns a Subaru?

I really really really don't like the 2.5 engines unless they have been rebuilt and remapped by a reputable specialist.

I do wonder if mine be remapped, engine be fine, engine almost on 80K....mine a Hawkeye registered in December 2005, so lower tax bracket

Oh love your video.... ;-)

Oh and BC coliover are rather good....mine where fitted a few months ago ;-)

BCs have made a very noticeable difference to the handling. Great mod to make!

I just had the height re-adjusted, was way way to low.....now happy with the height etc so I know need to get the Geo adjusted, just not to sure what setting to get, is there a recommended set for BC's? there a hunters machine in Colchester so going to see what they suggest..

Any decent fast road setting should do you :)

ScoobyDoo69, what front grille have you got mate? Is it a custom jobby or off the shelf? The blobs look so much better with an open grille between the headlights.

Hoping to maybe finally get my own in a few weeks - cannot wait :D

Thanks, I did it myself. Cut out the badge, sanded, smoothed, primer'd and painted.

ScoobyDoo69 what dump valve do u have on yours love the sound of that :)

In the above 2 videos it was a HKS SSQV dump valve, but I have long long ago blocked it off completely.

Stupid question, but how on earth does the black cover on the rear of the headlight come off?!

Just went out to car to change sidelight and thats even worse - have to remove the headlamp!!

I'm guessing the map has just launched improved low end and mid range if your gaining so much extra time over a quarter.

It has helped have a lot more power throughout. I don't think I will get such a big boost again from such simple mods!

Twist.

Lol at gauges falling off :D

:D I still ran a 12.5 despite the distraction haha.

Just been browsing AT and found a Subaru Legacy which matches my budget and needs perfectly - check here.

I had been looking at Mondeos/Focuses but this is a bit more interesting. It's on around 135k miles. Am I mad for even considering it? What is reliability like on these? I've already got an insurance quote which is pretty reasonable (£550)

I'm going to view the car tomorrow, does anyone know what I should be looking out for other than the obvious clutch/centre diff/oil smoke etc.

That's rather cheap.

The 2.5 engine isn't up to much, not great power, or fuel consumption either. But very reliable.

Not sure I can recommend over a Mondeo for anything other than the fact that it's a bit different. If it was the 3.0R I would very easily tell you to go for it. Instead, I'll just recommend to test drive it and see how you feel it compares to the other alternatives.

What don't you like about the 2.5? I have driven my friend's 2004 wrx on occasion and the loss of torque is very noticeable. What I don't like about the 2.5s is they stuck with the tiny td04 which is too small even for the 2.0 in my opinion.
