Who here owns a Subaru?

Does anyone have any creative ideas or tips when it comes to subwoofer and amps for the boot?

I've got two JBL amps and am going to get a sub as well but am not sure how to go about having the layout in the boot.

Couple of options:

1. Create a raised floor using the outline of the boot, inverted sub and amps sunk into box so that the boot is still useable.

2. Get rid of the spare tyre and use that to enclose sub??

Do I really need a spare tyre when i've got AA membership?

I've got one amp for the focal components I have and one mono block amp for the sub. I had this bought a couple of years ago for my old Scoob so it just went into storage, the mono block I never actually used so it's still in the box.

Just trying to look for inspiration but cannot seem to find what I want.

How big are the amps?

My Dad has the sub in the spare wheel well and an amp under each front seat. Completely non-invasive when you sit in the back.

I used to have my 2x12s in the boot with the amp mounted to the back of the sub box, subs facing into the boot.

London and back £80. I did two fill ups, one of £40 @ £1.369 and the other at £1.379 on Shell Fuelsave Unleaded. This didn't give me a full tank. Took 3 hours each way, a distance of 201 each way and a total of 402 miles. I don't think that's bad personally.

The mono block will be able to fit, the other one won't. They are both matching so it would be nice to install them in the boot somehow

If you want them on display then I would build the sub into the spare wheel well and then have some sort of false floor to hold on the subs on to. Could take a bit of effort though.

hi guys

Im interested in getting a car with a view to doing some light track action next year, im interested to know how decent a scooby would be for this, i guess i have overlooked them so far as in my mind they are better suited to a rally stage rather than a race track.

It depends what you're after in terms of light track action? Want to go quickly? Have loads of fun? I'm sure a lot of people would say an Impreza needs a good bit of work to feel more track friendly.

I've decided I want my Scoob lower and widen the stance a little. What are a good set of coilovers as I would like the arches filled.

Vita do not waste your money dude you drive a non turbo! Most I would do is fit lowering springs and wheel spacers. Don't go spending a load of money for nothing.

I was thinking of getting the coilovers so when I buy a Turbo I can put them on that. Then again I've seen some Tein S Techs for cheap, virtually new. They give a good drop and have higher rate at the back which doesn't allow 'Sag'.

But I think you're right, I see where you're coming from.

Thanks for the pic Kosta, gives me some ideas.

Took a trip down to the other day and unfortunately this happened:(

Ouch, bad luck buddy :(

Also - reminds me how much of a pig black is to keep clean, still would prefer the black over the blue though :D
