Who here owns a Subaru?

Can someone tell me what the engine code for 2003 Impreza WRX STi Type UK is? What sort of price would you expect to pay for a coil pack? I just got a quote for £1176!

You can drive it dude, just don't give it too much welly. :)

I have used my car for short trips and not really let it go above 3.5k RPM :)

I am having the secondary air pump mapped out of the car (cos I haven't got round to replacing it yet) ECU light on my dash still, but I check I have no other codes everytime I get into the car)

Anyone with an knowledge knows that the pump is useless anyway. Stupid EUI emissions law - it bascially comes on for 30secs when cold to reduce gas then goes off... its not required, and I wasnt paying £750 for a new pump lol.

Anyway I'm getting a little excited now :)

O and make sure it's mapped on either V-Power or Tesco momentum for the best results ;)

I have half a tank of Esso Super Unleaded at the moment. I will fill up with V-Power shortly before I get to him. Should use at least 1/4 of a tank getting to chester in the morning, so at least 3/4's V-Power should be cool, right?

I'm replacing mine, paid £100 for the pump via a forum as many remove them when modding + £220 for the air valve which jams causing the pump to fail + the cost of labor. Should have just got it blanked and mapped out to save future problems.

Apparently Audi, Mercedes and others have the same problem.

Just got to work after my trip to Wales for my remap.

Very very pleased with the results.

Red is the new data, Blue is prior to the remap

The torque and mid-range power improvements are epic and is what you use in everyday driving. So much more usable power, suspect that will help improve mpg's too as you don't need to hit the loud pedal as much, or you might just become addicted to that torque and it drink more fuels. :D
