From the ad:
What? If he's talking aftermarket VTA I'd walk away - scoobs don't like VTAs without some very specialist hardware and mapping. And what on earth is a turbo booster? And why does it have an STI back bearing? What happened to the old one? Sunroof? I didn't think scoobs ever came with one? Which suggests a retro-fit - never good. I'll gloss over the STI badge on the back.
Whats the catch?
Its an over priced WRX? 34,000 miles? Yeh right...
Didn't even know you could get a blobeye on a 52 plate
You can get good examples of wrx's for around £3000 now, that's how much ours was (top of this page)
VTA is ??
blimey, thanks for that, sounds like one to avoid!
overpriced? I thought It could be a bit high if the mileage was a lot higher..
Thanks for the feedback guys
I must say though, I do fancy a VTA on my next Scoob, the HKS SSQV seem to be well regarded.
By who? None of the serious modders go near them, unless forced to by a customer. You can map around one, but it's a silly idea. (Edit: I believe that VERY high-powered vehicles use them sensibly, but at that sort of power the MAF is being bypassed anyway.) Making a noise that says "I've got a turbo" is fine on a car which usually doesn't have one, but WTF is the point on a car which everyone knows has a turbo? In this case it just says "I'm a **** who knows nothing about cars".

Nothing wrong with a dumpvalve, or having it blocked off either. It does NOT affect the map. Unless it's a crappy one leaking air, or you replace your crappy one which was leaking air that you had it mapped on with one that isn't leaking, there will be no issues.
Yes they make a noise, some do some crap, some do sound nice. All is does it confuse the MAF sensor between shifts. Resulting in overfueling / a dump of fuel between the shifts.
Anyone who has ever had issues with dumpvalves has bought one which is not working right.
