Sorry fella just noticed this. Makes the car a whole new beast doesnt it? Overtaking/joining from sliproads is now fun! :D
I never took it further as I was happy with how it spooled and pulled through the gears from a standing start. I then went on to fit a larger turbo and larger injectors etc.
Typically I got rid of my cable when I realised I hadnt turned off a couple of the cels in the latest version of my stage 3 rom ffs. So now need to buy one just to make a couple of small changes, raging!.
 
Nearly two months on car is still running fine, I noticed you'd turned off the emissions cel?

Did notice a slight hiccup in third at low speed but seems to have disappeared, could have been fuel or filter or something else

Yea I had turned off a couple of warnings as I was off down the decat route and at that time only had the uppipe cat left, which has now gone too...mysteriously :D

When I was modifying that rom, I started off very conservative and when I got to that existing version, took it off and loaded the stock rom back on... it is astounding the difference between the two. In stock guise the wrx really isnt anything special at all, it really needs the tweaks, I would describe the difference as comical. :)
For what it is worth, there is probably a little more timing and boost potential but to be honest, I wanted to leave a little margin.
Glad you mentioned you are running it as plenty of people take it and never give any feedback. ;) (230 odd downloads and very few even mentioned it).
 
What power do you reckon that map is putting out, not even ran a 0-60 yet, if you want more feedback, give me an email, my address is in trust
 
Potentially.. breaking my car. I've decided I really want to start chucking cash away for a 2nd mortgage this year and I think that breaking my car will give me a good start and the best money back. Saves faffing with sale adverts also.

Not something I want to do really, but I don't want to keep the car and have it sat there doing nothing. By saving on insurance, fuel, tax, not doing track days, events etc then I can hopefully get where I want to be in a much shorter period of time. Doing this will also allow me to do a bit of wheeler dealing to try a few different cars, which can't be a bad thing after having owned Subarus for 9 years...

So if you can think of anything on my car that you may be interested in, then drop me a message. I'll likely put the breaking advert up in the second week of January on the usual Subaru places :)

Edit: /vulture mode: sucks to sell a car you've had for ages and had a lot of fun in, but other things in life are more important some times. I've got it in my mind that i may have to do the same in 12-18 months when im getting to the end of building my house if the i REALLY need the extra cash to finish it off. Would be a last resort but it'd be something i would be willing to do in the short term if needs must.

Yes I do. I'll put your name next to them.

I won't be selling anything or taking anything out of the car until the gearbox and engine are sold though.

Let's try not to use this thread as a forum for the sale of my car bits though as it's against rules. Everything should be directed to my email in trust if interested please :)
 
I have the Peugeot for getting around or the wife's Fiat 500.

I'll likely be buying a few different things to have a sample of other motors though. The plan would be 2nd property with a good garage, then it's time to get back to cars.

I've been fortunate, I'm only 25 and couldn't ask for anything more from a car than what that STi has been for me. But right now I want to rent my flat out and buy a decent house. The cash injection from getting rid will definitely speed up the process.

Powerwise I think it worked out around the 225 atw and around 260 maybe a shade more. As I said, 275 should be possible but for the sake of a barely noticable extra, it has a bit of safety built in plus your standard injectors will be hitting 100-105% too.
By all means we can refine the timing a shade but the peak hp, Id be leaving well enough alone. :)
