Who here owns a Subaru?

...sigh... patience wearing thin. Im checking pistonheads, ebay, autotrader almost every 30mins morning til night. Weekends Im patiently waiting around to jump on a train. Hard work this, so much for a buyers market.

Notice this thread is quiet now with Kosta having a break and Gurdas enjoying his new toy.

...sell her Gurdas, sell herrrrrr, sell to Hutchy... /sublimal message ends :D

Haha, I don't think I could ever sell it! I took it out the other day and I absolutely love every second of the experience.

Get in the Scooby....windows down, radio off.

Get in the Bentley....turn bluetooth on my phone and find a good tune to cruise to.

Scooby wins every time for fun:)

Went out in a 370Bhp Sti last night. making me looking forward to my JDM classic im picking up from having the sills done tonight.

Maybe I should take my test for the 4th time first...

haha, must be nice having the choice! I can see how it would make either car more of an "event" to drive :)

You got any vids of that Nur Spec? I'd like to hear how it sounds to Kostas, definitely first thing on my list when I find my car

Would 68K put you off this if it is otherwise clean and mechanically well maintained? Never owned a car with milage more than 50K so its unknown territory for me :confused

Up for grabs in a couple of weeks (if I dont see something sooner)

Standard BHP, no mods other than detango, front splitter and K&N induction / forge recirc. Really would look to add Nur Spec and HKS SSQV + map, then some alloys later. Maybe some rear tints.

Just some feedback for RaceDynamix if anyone is looking for a remap. Duncan remapped my forester and did a fantastic job. It was a road map so no wild figures to reel off, but it has significantly more pull than it did before and is vastly nicer to drive.
He's a nice bloke who knows exactly what he is doing. Highly recommended.

I wouldn't worry about that mileage. Bought mine at 58k i think and it just ticked over 77k yesterday and that's not going to stop me driving it like a stole it. Not had any extra bills due to the mileage other than the rear suspension struts knocking but i was going to get coilovers anyway.

Sounds like I might have first dibs all being well.

He was honest enough to say its all mint barring it appears to have had its bonnet sprayed at some point likely to get rid of stone chips, albeit not a good spray. Sure £200 would sort a fresh spray out however.

Be on the hunt for blitz nurspec and hks ssqv soon so keep your eyes peeled folks.

P.S. Nur Spec + decat or Nur Spec + Sports cat? I have a friendly MOT garage but am cautious if a decat will equal police issues? Would a decat pop and bang? Would it do that with a sports cat?

Used to like the occasional pop on my VXR Nurb :D

I'd be a bit weary of that having the K&N fitted if it hasn't had a map, as induction kits affects the MAF scaling a will cause lean spots in the rev range.

Duncan has a great reputation and is who Kosta recommends for mapping.

In honesty mate I was going to put the airbox back on with a new panel filter. Om never convinced on induction kits unless they have s cold air feed - heat soak city

That mileage wouldn't put me off, that's a great looking Scooby, looks like mine!:p

As for mods....

Air filter - I've a cosworth filter in my standard air box, you don't need any fancy induction
Dump valve - wouldn't bother, found the ride was smoother without one
Decat - you won't have any police issues, pops and bangs can be mapped in, mine sounds lovely!
Remap - Duncan did mine too, well recommended...he also added launch control to my car

My car pretty much sounds identical to Kostas as the mods are pretty much identical

The standard air box and a good panel filter are fine up to 400bhp. After that I would go with something like my Hyperflow, which sits in the wheel arch, not the engine bay.

Picked my car up from having the sills done. Day 1 of JDM classic ownership. It has to sit over my unit until I can drive it. Its pretty damn quick though.

Trialing some colours

I think if I drive this as a first car I might kill myself though... :(

What are people's opinion's on the WRX hatchbacks?

I am seriously considering one as my next car once I sell my Audi.

Just want to know what I am letting myself in for and any specific things I should be aware of when viewing?
