Apart from Stevie Ray Vaughan who is probably my favourite guitarist of all time.

For those who do not recognise the name, he was first with Magazine, then Generation X and Visage before joining the Banshees and produced that painful jarring guitar sound that made them what they were. He died at 48 in his sleep.

I find these really difficult 
I like John Squire's sound, but without Cressa to push buttons is he the same player?
The Edge is a great all round player, big fan of him.
Dave Gilmour - One of those musicians who you tell it's them by the sound of their playing. The Edge falls into that catergory too, but Gimour more so.
Slash - Not a huge G&R of VR fan, but he is one of the best.
Definatley one of those 4, not really sure which though depends on my mood.
