Who needs aircon when you can just open a window?

Climate set at 20C, fan at Auto and direction on Auto, car does rest and even has a sunlight sensor on the dash to gauge the sun intensity.

The heat certainly hit me as i stepped out of work, a nice warm breeze too

Doubt it, I don't profess to know every manufacturer's climate control inside out, but I've not seen one that does 15 yet.

It's in the sig, 15 is the lowest setting, then LO. As to if it does reach as low as 15 then i can not answer :)

The drag coefficiant of having your window open while doing 60mph will significantly out weigh the extra fuel used for air con ;)

i've been sitting in my dads car for the last hour with the air con on and boy is it cool in here :D
yeah
there was a test on TV, below 45mph, open windows uses less fuel than aircon.
over 45 aircon uses less fuel than open windows

my excuse is that air con is for sissys who like adding weight and sapping engine power from their cars.

anyway, most of my driving is done in the evenings and at night, so i dont suffer too much in my aircon less golf.

god i miss the A4 (should have that as my sig really)

lol @ everyone who says they dnt want aircon...you know it would be a different story if they had it. my little clio has it and i love it, granted it does effect the engine, strugles a lot more to pull of with the aircon on than off, but id rather sit in comfort tbh.

Another thumbs up for AC. Shame we don't have it in the work van though ;/

Make sure your next car has air conditioning :D

Not to mention your truck or van. ;)

Once you're cruising at motorway speeds you don't notice the loss of power.

I've experemented recently with my A/C on & off, I honestly cannot tell any difference in either power or fuel consumption, in both my car and HGV!

In the past I have argued with you about aircon Fox. I apologise for that. I was wrong. Got my aircon re-gassed (properly this time) a few weeks ago and i'm not looking back. There's definately something special about cruising in a 35 year old Veeeedub with the windows rolled down in extreme heat, but if possible i'd like to have aircon fitted to the beetle :P.

Heres to being cool :).
