Who owns a Mondeo ST220 / ST TDCI?

I reckon you should keep it. Other than a little bit more turbo grunt I reckon the Focus will feel like a downgrade.
Everyone has said that to me lol. Even my mechanic who i have always used said i would be stupid to get rid of it as its in fantastic condition for 11yrs old.
Ive just got a thing about changing my car every 12 months as i get bored driving the same thing even though its an awesome car.
If it doesn't sell for 2.9k then ill probably keep it as its too good to drop any lower and the ST225 is going to cost me around 6.5k for one that's only two years newer.

£4k?

Mine has newish eagle f1 tyres all around, newly refurbished alloys, full milltek, new springs all around... Few little niggles that need sorting around the body. But if i was selling i would be asking around £3500

£4k is silly.

The moment you see a car with tatty badges and number plates walk away, they are such a cheap fix and make a massive difference. If the owner can't even sort those then it's not worth the time.

EDIT: May just be the picture actually but the rear plate looks a bit tatty.

£4k  and not even with the 6 speed gear box...

It is a 6 speed gearbox :p

I asked a few questions about it, apparently had some advisories on the exhaust and brakes, which they're replacing, but leaving a potential advisory with 1 tyre ..... There's a 6 month RAC "silver" warranty included and 12 months breakdown cover (useless to me, already have some). But yeah the more I think about it, £4K ..... ouch :/

There is another one about an hour away for £3.5K (+ a sodding £50 admin fee ? Behave) - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...get=usedcars&sort=default&make=ford&logcode=p

At first I groaned at the red leather interior, but its slowly growing on me. But it does have a stupid custom license plate on it. Its in black which makes me keep eyeing it up, but again I'm a bit shaky on it.

You turn your nose up at mine for 2.9k and your interested in that pile of crap for 4k:eek: don't buy a ST220 from traders they all ask stupid money for them that u will never get back for it.
I've had 1 call in 2 weeks guy drives 2 hrs to look at it loves my car can't believe the condition of it and how well it drives then says he needs to think about it  that was days ago. Then an email to ask how much tax is on it lol didn't even bother replying.

Lovely! Even for a diseasal :)

U still trying to sell your 220? I can't believe the lack of interest in mine. My eBay classified has 1000 views and 32 "watching" it and yet I've only had one guy take it for a test drive was loving it and thought it was in great condition then let his dad talk him out of it as I said "I top the oil up every few months" then another guy was meant to be coming with his mechanic over the weekend and has not showed
Last year the 220's were selling in a matter of days for 3.5k plus I just can't believe mine hasn't gone for 2.9k. It's annoying as I shifted all my previous cars in less than 2 days but this is 3 weeks so far

I pulled the ad down. As mentioned in the ad i was only seeing if i could get a PX on a a particular car without having to mess about with selling/buying. That itch gets me when the sun comes out... :p

I feel if i was to sell i could get rid pretty easily. I have 3 (was 4 before you bought 1) guys on here who want me to email/text them if i decide to sell. Just nothing out there at the moment that is ticking all the boxes for me yet.

Is that your car?: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-MOND...911?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item463dd4c0e7

I would get rid of:

'All standard condition never modified or ruined like most of them for sale have been!'

'This car was registered to a Ford garage and then owned by the same mature owner for 9 years before me! so only 3 former owners on a 2004 car is rare and shows you how good of a car it is.'

'and drives like its done half the 94k miles.'

The ad just sounds really desperate. Keep it simple, just put down what they need to know.

I would like to sell my 220. Its in fantastic condition in an out except 3 of the arches have recently developed tiny areas of rust bubbles right on the edge above the tyre.

I have spoken to a body shop and they will repair and respray all 3 for £400.

My question is will I get that £400 or more back if I carry out the work? I would probably take 2k as it is now so think I might get more interest at 2.5k and go down to 2k than advertising at 3k to get 2.5k repaired?
