Who owns a Mondeo ST220 / ST TDCI?

Definitely going to be a hard car to replace, but I've had my fun :) Not sure how much to sell it for really, 94K with a couple of small but obvious dents in rear drivers side door, seems they've dropped in price going by Auto Trader ? Was thinking id be lucky to get 2K for it.

Has it ripped at the sides? Mine did it on one side it's new bumper time if it has.

The car is a 2004 model and is on its original factory OEM system. The flexis are sagging and look very worn out so thats the first job.

I am getting the 2 exhaust flexi pipes ordered from ford on monday at near enough £100 each! and when they are fitted the last thing i need to do is get the new exhaust!

Even from a rudimentary bash on both middle boxes its clear they have semi collapsed and you can hear movement inside. So far i am not blowing gasses ( leaks ) but sometimes a good ole rattle when starting up. At 70mph + if i hoof it i get a definate rattle from below so its time for a new system.

So do i go JP or milltek?

I live in macclesfield so JP is the obvious choice but i could get the milltek off ebay using my low interest paypal credit and so would be less of a burden in my wallet in one go. the milltek can be had for approx 500 and 40quid for my fitter.... the JP is about 550 fitted ( i have emailed them ). There is a 4 week lead time on the JP right now.

I have heard that JP will make me exhaust tips as i desire... like the milltek and welded on instead of bolted?

Now i am a 42 man who loves my ST220 and i would like a good sounding exhaust that lets the V6 breathe a bit... a little burble and pop is ok but i do not what a chav machine.... The JP is one i have heard personally but not the milltek.

has anyone had experience of both systems and can offer any advice?

hiya, one of my flexis went (the short one) and I too paid the 120 odd pound for the dealer part.

I am currently on standard exhaust, I think the JP sounds better and that's where I would go, but its too far for me for just an exhaust so i'll end up with a miltek eventually.

Does any one have the red leather interior ?

Just bought a panther black estate with red leather and its looking a little worn on drives bolster was hoping to get some polish if that would work ?

Any ideas good people of ocuk ?

ARGH!!! was parked outside my mates house yesterday and someone pinched all 4 of my centre caps.

mine were rotting to start with and was toying with the idea to replace them a few months back.

one of them was bent to hell and when taking it off and back on required a bit of hammering so I cant see him being able to sell them on.

total scumbags!!

I tend to average 31 mpg on a long run. Best I have ever seen is 35mpg over 100 miles non stop. Think my long term average is about 25 mpg and I DON'T commute!

No reason you can't achieve 35-37mpg on a run at 70mph unless there's heavy traffic and/or you're not very good at keeping a constant speed and looking ahead.

I tend to set the cruise at 65 on a run and never touch the accelerator. :)

Should easily achieve at least the figures I quoted then! Ignore the others, they're obviously erratic drivers ;) :D
