Those of us who have 144/165hz 1440p monitors and love staying well above 90fps in hectic 60 player matches of Bf1 operations will give the Ti a good work out I can assure you!
Pretty much my reason for wanting a Ti or Vega (I'm waiting for Vega before choosing). I want a GPU that will make the most out of my 1440p144Hz monitor. I would prefer AMD because I have FreeSync, but then there's kinda no point there, since the FreeSync range is 40-90 and I'm perfectly fine without it right now on my 970.
...However I hear that with CRU, I can mod the FreeSync range to a max of 144Hz. But that will only be worth it if Vega could beat the 1080ti and give me 90+ fps at 1440p.
I'm going to wait 3 or 4 months. See if there are a any better deals on the 1080Ti by then. And I'm interested in seeing what AMD bring to the table first.
Exactly, this person gets it. Worst case scenario, it will be a repeat of 2015 all over again, where I waited for 300 series and at release, it wasn't a better choice over a 970. I would like to buy an AMD card this time, but upgrades are required, so I may have to go with this 1080ti if Vega isn't up to snuff.
