Who? I haven't heard this before? I will always go EVGA personally. They have the best warranty out of any company. They even do guest RMA. Don't think any other card partner do that.

Think it was down to EVGA being slow to market and then the whole 1070 cooking themselves saga.

I'm getting FE but it's going under water so the cooler doesn't matter to me.

I'll will be ordering an FE unless custom are out within a couple of weeks, I have the money burning a hole in my pocket and it has been for a couple of weeks.

I reckon the Palit Jetstream was one of the best all round cards for the 1080 and 1070. Always priced lower than the Strix and MSI Gaming Edition cards on launch too.

Your looking at £200-£250 i think as you can pick up b grade 1070 for £299 but i have noticed it has been sold since yesterday when it was on the store

my 1080 is more than enough for my current needs, if anything I go for VEGA as my main screen is freesync.

The potential upshot of the Evga heating isssue is if you went for the ICX upgrade it resets the step up option and move to a more expensive card. Waiting to see what the offer exactly is for the classified which is yet to be announced.
