Who's ditching 48XX for 58XX?

Aye, but it's in Win7 now and integrated into the system already, apparently. Not sure if Vista and Win7 will have the same functionality as far as the DX integration is concerned though.

As long as the 5870X2 scales then I'm going to replace my 4870X2 and tripleHead2Go with one of them.

Also will upgrade to a i7 @4gz at the same time.

Taff

I'm gonna wait till xmas and see how the prices are doing. Although i don't expect them to drop for quite awhile.??

I generally run a generation behind so am beginning to look at upgrading my lowly 3XXX series cards for something like a 4890.

That is unless of course they come down in price to whatever I get for my cards plus £50-75, if that’s the case I will take a 5850.

For now though I will sit tight and see what happens with the prices over the next few months. Seen as I have not, since the 9700 pro & GF3 Ti 500 days, paid top whack for a card, I feel spending more than £100 (what I paid for my 2 cards) is difficult for me to justify. :(

I'm going to be ditching my 3870 for a 5850 :)

I run windows 7 x64 with 8gb ram. I'll just wait for the games to slowly get DX11.

I guess it'll run 1680x1050 games much better too :D

I'm hoping to pick up a 5850 in a few weeks to replace my 4850 which I've had for a year now. :)

Im going to wait till my 4890 can't play the leasted games on my 24" screen.

I'll wait a while for the 5870 2GB cards.

They do look so nice tho, the black and red :)

DX11 will be on Vista too

And as long as Nvidia and ATI patch the drivers 'DX10' cards should be able to support multi gpu via the DX11 API a lot better than current SLI/Crossfire drivers

I'm interested in upgrading my 4870 1gig to a 5850, though ideally want to know more about the onboard sound of this card as it will go straight to my 40" LCD so any sound via hdmi will be a great addition.

I'm still using my Sapphire 4870 512mb was v.tempted to jump to the 58XX series, but think I'll save some cash and get a 4890 Vapor-x instead.

my trusty 4850 512MB still doing just fine with all the games I play on my 24" so no upgrade for me yet.....unless I win a lottery or something :p

I must be the only one who look at the pictures in the 5870 thread and think I want the dirt 2 voucher more than the card lol
