Ruud was following the ball down, and had his leg out to bring it down past illic, illic instead of trying to take the ball out of the air, just plowed straight through ruud at knee height.
It doesnt matter now, the replays were clear enough at the time, there was no dispute from anyone, not even illic.

Im pretty sure it was a 50-50 situation and ruud blatently play acted, but maybe not......

was deffo a 50/50 ball, maybe foot-high on Illic's part, but since when has that been a straight red??

also condsider RvN's behaviour afterwards, writhes on floor apparantly in agony, red card shown, miraculous recovery, scores the penalty.

should have been booked for unsporting behaviour
