Why do people act like this?

For future reference, don't take matters into your own hands, go and complain to the cinema staff.

Twice I've had a situation where people were being so loud that either myself or one of my mates had to go get someone to chuck them out. On both occasions, the guilty parties were straight out, without so much as a warning. It appears my cinema carries a no-nonsense policy, which I admire.
 
Sounds like they were looking for trouble tbh, in most cases, when they find it they won't go looking again. One swift knock on the chin to those types of people puts them in their place pretty quickly.

then the circle continues and if they are known trouble causes or gang violence becomes worse. this is exactly same round my area people all know whos who some are probably the chavs what most describe then theres some which look the same and basically u dont mess with them (does not matter how hard big you are ) best thing is let the people responsable do there job and you not do theres.

at end of day simple thing like this can turn into life threatening situations in minutes just cause of silly people escualting the matter . seen it many times and ends up with someone getting stabbed beaten to a pulp or shot.

When I still lived in the UK it got to the point where I just wouldn't go to the cinema anymore. Too much hassle. The last time I went some morons threw some type of snack at my wife's head. Bad idea. I "had words" and they upped and left. At that point though, your enjoyment of the movie has vanished as you're too busy fuming :(
 
I hate the way these types of people seem to think that this behaviour is acceptable. They have no concept that people around them might take offence or it might upset them or ruin their evening.

Its when you see the parents you understand why the kids turn out this way. I swear some people should be banned from having kids.

If there is a group then there is always the alpha male, the big dog, whatever... All pussy's however you put it. Next time pick out the so called big dog, wont be difficult, and snap his jaw. The rest will run off with their legs between their tails.

You must also consider that some people on OcUK may be built like Freefaller, and i imagine that when he tells some 14 year olds to be quiet - they comply.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over this - it's frustrating, but at least you stood your ground. Like Von said, 99% of the time, these little groups of idiots give lots of mouth when their mates are at their side - but the moment you get one of them on their own, they start behaving themselves a bit more...
 
Ive had my fair share of cinema incidents, asking/telling people to stfu etc but by the time Ive had to do that Im too ****ed off to enjoy whats left of the film. I just dont bother going to the cinema any more.

It really makes my blood boil and I just cannot understand why these cretins pay to see a film they have no intention of watching. For the price theyve paid for five or so tickets they could be in the park with all the White Lightning they can stomach which Id imagine they would enjoy more.

Can also put you in a prison cell for a few hours too. Scum like those will go around saying "**** da polise" etc, but as soon as you chin 'em one, they'll be on the phone to the police so fast it'll make your head spin. End result: the genuinely decent person ends up with an assault charge etc, and the scummy ****** that caused the situation get to play the victim and walk away laughing :mad:

Unfortunately, if you live in a smallish town this isn't really an option, if you want to continue having quiet nights out.

All it takes is one of his mates to recognise you whilst you're trying to have a quiet meal/drinks and it can ruin your night.
 
You did the right thing mate. It's just a pity no one else did too.. I got a story I won't go into but, suffice to say other people in the cinema stood up too along with the guy telling them to be quiet and they soon shut up.

That scene in kick ass, if you have seen it, where tells the muggers there is nowt wrong with him but more wrong with all the people that are stood there watching/filming him defend someone against 3 other peeps. Obviously, it's a film... but it's true. People do that (not dress-up as superheroes before any of you say it!!).

Don't worry about it mate. You are better than them. :)

That's my other small problem. I go to Harrow alone quite often as well, so I'm just a little weary of running into them again :(

Just try and ignore it and keep your head down. Karma will see to these idiots. All the school bullies and idiots that used to give me hassle, are now living a life of benefit dependency and getting their under-age girlfriends pregnant.

In which case, it's not entirely their fault.

But at some point surely they must realise, what they are doing is wrong?
I suppose people like this prove that a conscience is not an inherent moral knowledge of right and wrong, but is an environmental knowledge of right and wrong.
 
Really cannot even begin to fathom such behaviour. They're not better than worms that crawl through rat ***. I exclusively to independent cinemas that charge £20 a ticket which promises a chav/teenager free experience.

It's true I don't get much issue, but then I choose my moments, I wouldn't walk into a pack of youths trying to exert some sort of authority. I'm not one to take the fists route either - I'm a fairly passive person really.

However, sometimes physically intimidation causes a development in aggression towards you. I'd never assume that because I was the bigger person that people would comply.

It's about your attitude and how you hold yourself too.

Some people are ***** and will always be ***** - it's a shame but that's the way it is. Most people will behave and know when they've done something wrong or when to cut it out, others just don't. Giving them a beating often changes nothing.
