Why is Bradford so hated?

Any moron can finance a car to the hilt.
Why is so much credence given to mugs in expensive cars....
Or even so much credence given to people in urban areas who drive all the time?
If cars in cities were confined to their own area I wouldn't mind, but car traffic directly squeezes out space for pavements, makes crossing concentrate on cars almost exclusively and ruins cities for anyone who doesn't want to drive, and even for drivers (who generally complain all the other drivers causing congestion but don't consider themselves the problem).
You just have to spend some on the continent to appreciate that car focused cities are not pleasant.

Where do you live?
Cosy Cheshire presently. However I have lived and worked in some very different parts from southern England to northern Scotland. I expressed my preference, I do not hate any place in the country it seems a weak use of the word which shold define an extreme position.

Ignoring Bradford for a moment.
Can anyone think of a UK city or town where multiculturalism has actually worked?

I pretty much hate where I live.
Edit - but there are much, much worse places.
Yes the plan is to move to Derbyshire as we get older.
Tameside - Cheshire

Unless you go to the bad areas then you might get stabbed

No you're missing the point, there are rough parts in every town/area.. so if you're stupid enough to say walk through dead end roads or parks in the middle of the night while off your face then yes sooner or later you'll meet someone who'll try to mug you.. it's nothing new.

Set eyes on the architectural ogre of Shipley clock tower and you will no doubt require some sort of counselling.

I just Googled it, that is incredibly ugly and depressing.

I live in a nice area of London and I sometimes forget that some parts of the country are like a different world, with different creatures. It's like Minecraft Realms.

Just visited Bradford for the first time in a long time today, specifically leeds road. It was a pleasant experience and I appreciated the genuine multicultural aura. It seems like quite an affluent city, with lots of well to do young men in nice cars such as RS6s, G Wagons, RS3s etc. Now bare in mind I didn't spend that much time there, but everyone I spoke to was pleasant and it was a good experience.

Just wondering why it has such a bad reputation? Is racism a factor or is there something I am missing?

This you going through Bradford?

Here's a summary of Bradford from someone who lives there.(Not me)

Dare to use public transport around the Interchange and you will inevitably get stabbed. Venture a mile or so out of the city centre (if you dare) and things don’t improve one bit. The area of Manningham (famous for some of Britains worst ever riots in 2001) resembles a third-world war zone. Listerhills, with it’s derelict crumbling mills and huge selection of emaciated, smack riddled whores wandering the streets, even in broad day light, is literally a no-go area, whilst Great Horton, Frizinghall and Thornbury offer nothing but row upon row of run-down or boarded up terraced houses, where you’ll struggle to find anybody at all who speaks English. Venture a couple miles North to Shipley and be confronted by a population of ***** who reside on notorious council estates such as Windhill and West Royd. These cider swilling, wizz snorting, tracksuit wearing monsters are truly dangerous people, who will no doubt “kick t’ **** out o’ yer” if you even glance in their direction. Set eyes on the architectural ogre of Shipley clock tower and you will no doubt require some sort of counselling.

Sounds delightful I'm sure you'll agree

I used public transport for 5 year at that very interchange and never ever witnessed an argument never mind a stabbing. Absolute nonsense.

Here in Sheffield, burngreave, we have running street battles usually once a year between Somali, Roma's and others, police ignored it for ages and let it get out of hand, but covid lockdowns ment none last year!
Also Paige hall...less said about that area the better!

But on the other side we have the manor and parsons cross locals that are not far off as being as bad.

Some integrate, some don't.
