Why the anger?

People are too emotional , i have been trying to say this for a while now.

Its just all nansy pansy nonsense 99% of the time.

Why do i post in GD? = Not enough money to bother reading about cpu's etc etc

Have to agree with the OP. I just think its too easy to hide behind a screen name and I'd love to know how much different some of the people are in real life. Probably an awful lot of computer gamers, and other IT strange people (myself included!).

The thing that really gets up my nose is all the gayness of the 'owned', 'pwned', forum speak which I actually have not got a clue what it all means.

You don't know what "owned" means?

I'm sure there is a significant percentage of people that are just hiding behind a keyboard / releasing frustrations they feel in real life (or heck, even if they just lost on an online game).

See! THis is an example of what I am talking about, I am happy platinum87 posted so that I had a model of behavior to demonstrate with!

But maybe people are aware of how they're posts come across and its just an exaggeration or maybe we don't type things to look intentionally aggressive or maybe we just want to post what we want and don't care how it looks.

People read way too much into some things and then post a direct emotional response.

Maybe some of us are just bored, lacking a social life and will occassionally type something stupid. Hardly a crime.

I apologize if my post came across too negatively, I wasn't putting them on trial - was just saying a few possible reasons is all. :)

The hatred towards other peoples vehicles in the motors forum always amazes me they even post car adds up just to rip the ****.

Don't worry, I was adding some more possibilities. :)

Motors I agree seems too much. I think that's too personal if people are just constantly attacking eachother's possessions and I usually stay out of there anyway. I can't imagine Sports Arena is much better with arguments over teams.

Box Office is where its at.

the graphics card forum is the worst atm.

random people with next to no posts leaping in to say "nvidia block AA!!!" on topics that arent even relevant.

just seems that some people have to say something on the thread, and if they cant think of anything, just chuck in an insult.

There was quite a good program I saw on the TV/heard on the radio a while back, and it was all about how if people have something to hate, then at least they have something in common if they hate the same thing! ;)

Name your scapegoat, be it chavs/muslims/bankers/etc. Often people feel better if they have someone to blame... Even if they aren't the cause of the problem

While I do think some posters can be a little hostile at times, often it's hard to tell if it's genuine anger or just overdone for comic effect. Even now, I think posters like Platinum87 go OTT, and they're not serious... But if I'm wrong about this then my days are numbered!

Its the same in motors aswell now, just too much damn bitching all round, too many cliques and what not, quite tiresome really.

Indeed, it seems if you dont own a BMW your opinion is worthless in its entirity (sorry spellcheck hounds).

It's not that bad in there it's just horses for courses, No point me advising on motors I am not shopping/browsing for myself/for mates whatever when there are people that actually own the things to give better advice. Works with everything, Nobody is expected to know everything & it's all about passing on what we know in our own given field, (Not quite worked out what my one is yet but I will be looking inside the contents of a recently smashed pasty for answers shortly)
For me Banter is what makes life bearable & I Love a bit of jolly old Banter mixed in with my tragedy. :( + :D

I Love it here like a Fluffy bunny with mittens on with a little string that goes up the sleeves & big cuddly kisses & stuffz, YOU GAYERS !!!

:o << Hitler is constipated tonight, My apologies.

Motors is only **** because of a certain few members who seem to think they're somehow superior to anyone else who dare post in 'their forum'! They also seem to get away with things that anyone else on the various fora get warnings or suspensions for, personal attacks and trolling other user's threads are two that spring instantly to mind.
