Will Smith hits Chris Rock on Oscars stage

It's mostly women who support what he did

Is it? I've seen a few women commenting the opposite and how they'd had partners who would physically assault men who they thought had insulted their partner, who then later ended up assaulting them as well. Smith was out of order and clearly has an issue he should get help with. Chris Rock's joke wasn't funny though.

Fair play to Chris, he played it off about as well as I think you could.

I don't think Will should or will get "cancelled" or any of that nonsense, but he's just come out of this now looking like a complete idiot, and the most prestigious award of his career now will have a permanent cloud hanging over it.

Instead of being remembered as an Oscar winner this year, we are talking about him slapping Chris Rock.

The spotlight also has been put on his wife too and his illness, which he laughed at the joke too didn't want. It has totally backfired.

Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Everybody Hates Chris crossover :D

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince and got a wife with no hair!

Not that rare in women, estimated to be between 40-50%. They're just better at hiding it with wigs, weaves etc so it seems less than it is.

You left out an important part of that, its common in old age yes but how many middle aged women do you know with alopecia? I couldn't name all the men I know but not one of my female friends has it that I'm aware of.

I can't see anything wrong with the GI Jane joke. Pretty much the same the Ricky Gs joke about Scorsese being too small for theme parks, both Jada and Martin have no control over the hair loss and height. Just a joke and I thought was funny.

I feel bad for Will Smith.

His wife admitted to having an affair with her sons friend live on tv - Will had tears running from his eyes.

She was previously with Tupac.. Wills own daughter wishes Tupac was in her mothers life.

Will is that guy defending a bad woman. He needs to get out of that relationship for his own sanity. The relationship is toxic.

Smith has been cucked by his wife for years now and still feels the need to white knight her. He's a lost cause with zero self respect, I pity him.

Interesting timing considering the rumours concerning his wife and a certain young raper.

As typos go, that’s a doozy.
Colour me cynical but with the maxim “There’s no such thing as bad publicity” I wouldn’t be surprised if Chris and Will planned that before the show.
If that wasn’t the case then they were both in the wrong, probably Will more than Chris, and to those who say that Will wouldn’t have reacted like that if Jason Statham had made that crack it’s worth remembering that Statham is known for playing tough guys, not necessarily being one.
If I was out with my wife and Statham called her an ugly **** I’d give him a smack in the mouth even if I knew only too well that his minders would kick the carp out of me.
I don’t think that telling him to apologise would be enough to satisfy me.

It is common for men. I am bald. I started to lose my hair years ago so I chose to embrace it. It's not much of a big deal for men because it's quite common for us.

But when my daughters hair started falling out it devastated her because is rare for young women to experience the threat of baldness. Luckily it stopped falling out and, while it never returned to the thick head of hair she once had, it isn't as bad as she was worried about. But for a while it was emotionally devastating.

For most people, male pattern baldness is very emotionally different to loss of hair for women.

A significant % of the male population lose some or all of their hair. Its rare in women and as others have said bald can be a good look on men. It isn't in any way comparable.

So your argument is it's (more) common in men therefore it's OK?

So we can mock common things? Incontinence in women after child birth is quite common, that seems like a good place to start! Have at it boys!

Will Smith is such a weak and pathetic man these days. His awful wife seems to control his every move and he just takes it all. No wonder his kids have turned out the way they are.

That's also not what I said. I was explaining why the impact of losing hair is far more devastating to most women than it typically is for most men. You appear to have assumed that's the same as saying it is OK to mock anything if it is common.

You literally said it's not a big deal because it's common.
