Cynical me suspects the whole thing was staged to bump up interest in the Oscars which has been dropping like a stone in recent years...
no it's not. i've seen plenty of instances of someone getting their ass kicked because they couldn't control their anger and confronted someone considerably more capable than them.
LolOf course it is. Nobody has been talking about them in several years gone as the viewers were dropping away greatly. Here we are, the super rich elite creating a fiasco to get the clicks and viewings to generate for them to tune in next year for the next scandal.
Shows you how low they've to go.
I just watched this -it's the best analysis and summary of the events that happened.
Because it suggest the idea that they pitched to Will
“Look Will, we will give you this Oscar, but in return you got to do something for us. Our ratings has been tanking and we need to do something. We swear that you won’t be arrested, Chris is in on this. But your reputation is going to take a massive hit, nobody will remember you winning this Oscar, everyone else on the night who won, nobody will remember who won what, you might even get cancelled and not get a job for a few years, they will scrutinise your wife's illness even more, your marriage will be in the spotlight.
You okay to slap him and take one for the team?"
and you might get the Oscar taken away.
I'm gobsmacked how many people think it's fake.
I also like the way he disagreed with the presenter... It certainly didn't escalate. It was nothing then it was everything. There was nothing in between.Jim Carrey nails it right on the head. Of all the people who would have thought Jim Carrey in all this would be the voice of reason.

I'm gobsmacked .
I really can't comprehend how people believe this was a setup.
Because people for some reason get a raging boner out of going against the grain.

Swearing much
For once, agree with Rogan on this too.
