Wimbledon 2006 **SPOILERS**

Certainly doesn't make you pro French :p Point well made Sir :)

Au contraire, there are many French things I love and am certainly an admirer of, their architecture to name but one. I just do not enjoy or like their style of football in this World Cup. It has nothing to do with the nation they represent, simply the style of play and tactics used by the team.

As a footnote, I would like to add they have done well to beat Brazil, congratulations :). I have not seen the game so can't comment whether it was deserved, or whether their play was better than what I have seen previously and based my opinion on.

Some great matches yesterday. The football took the spot light but a caught a bit of it.

Aggasi lost against Nadal. Venus is out! BEst of all though Murray beat Roddick!!!

I've only just found out the result, excellent by Murray and in 3 sets as well. The reports seem to suggest he was playing excellent tennis which is good to hear, I hope that he can progress further but even ignoring the pretty formidable task of the other players in his way I can't imagine anyone being able to beat Federer on current grass court form.

Been a funny old day really, on any other day a British guy beating a top 3 in the world player at Wimbledon (in straight sets no less!) would be headline news (how many times did Henman do that? I dont think he ever did!) but I didnt even know he'd won till I watched the highlights!

He made the comment in an interview he did alongside Tim Henman. Henman joked that he would be supporting anyone but England, so he joked about going to buy a Trinidad and Tobago shirt. This was then misreported by various sources as him being anti English when in reality it was just a joke between friends.

Unless of course I missed something and he has said something else.

No thats where the whole media ott reaction came from, as he has been going out of his way to deny being anti-english.

Really sad to see Agassi retire from Wimbledon today :( He was amazing in the mid-nineties and the matches between him and Sampras were some of the best I've ever seen.

Nadal just looked pretty unstoppable and I can't wait until he meets Federer.

I still think Federer will be far too good for Nadal on grass. The only player that I can see stopping Federer at the moment is Lleyton Hewitt who looks to be in good form so far.

Can't say i'm overly gutted. Nothing against a particular country, he just seems like a whinging bore.

Naturally I can't say that's the way he actually is, just the way he comes across imo.
