Wimbledon 2018

Monday final me thinks.

Yep. Only thing they can do now. Starting the other match after this will not be fair as it won't end tonight. Even if they close the roof and it's too dark for normal play, I think there is a point when play must stop regardless?

Give tickets to those who have tickets to see Nadal and Djokovic. It will cost Wimbledon money, but maybe it will make them think twice about not having a champions tie break or similar at 12-12; or, when expecting a ridiculously long match, or not have both matches scheduled for centre court.

Would that include the final? What if it was 12-12 in a final but it was legitimately good tennis, from a spectator's point of view, and not just big serve vs big serve? There's also the option of starting play earlier (although obviously this match would still have eaten into the evening).

In that case, maybe come 24 all, then have a tie break. Having a ridiculously long match in the final is less of an issue as there won't other players waiting, like there is now.

There's an absolute cutoff at 23.30 regardless of what happens. I remember many, many years ago when a match was running late, someone from the tennis club appealed for a temporary exemption from the Council to let the match continue, but it was a no go. Anyone remember that match?

Edit: The curfew set by Merton Council is 23.00 apparently.

I have a feeling it might have involved Andy Murray as well.
