It happened even with a clean install of 10074. Very annoying issue that never happened on earlier builds. Deleting one folder broke the other so that Windows couldn't find it.



Update - I have just done the upgrade via Windows update, checked the user folder and all duplicated folders are now gone, seems they fixed that bug, thanks MS :D

I did a clean install of 100074 earlier on, and I never got the folder duping bug. I've done a clean install of 10122 and it's not there too. I did have a few different bugs the first few times I was trying to get them to run, but I feel like they were down to the way my computer was behaving being forced to run at 1.199Ghz constantly.
 
I have missing start menu icons also, but the "space" where they go still seems to work OK and launches the correct thing. Oddly though I remoted to my machine via Team Viewer earlier and the icons where there, just horribly blown up and badly scaled.

Installed over 10074.
 
Anyone else having this issue?

When trying to access other computers on my network I double click the PC icon and nothing happens. The status bar goes slowly across as if something is loading but it never seems to connect quick enough.

Both PCs have SSDs and are connected via 1GB Ethernet. Anyway to improve this?
 
Anyone else get high CPU usage when watching things like twitch? My processor was sitting at 25% usage and making the fan spin up which was annoying.
 
Well i restarted and the icons are back but they're stupidly big in the tiles, so they look all low res



I don't mind filling up the tiles but at least use the larger high-res icons that come with every program
 
I'm backing up my machine now ready for its reinstall.
While its doing that I'm going to have a quick poke around the internet for AMD drivers or a fix, then I am reinstalling 7, I cant even browse the web without the AMD drivers crashing, I dont blame MS for this, its AMD, Win10 has been preview for long enough for them to sort their **** out by now but no...
 
hey guys, having an issue, randomly win10 freezes. just locks thet screen image and nothing works. even hitting reset button, while it kills windews the machine wont boot bacrk up, just sits with a dead black screen. however if i power it off then back on, everything works again.

any ideas whats wrong? dying gpu maybe?
 
I wish that when you clicked Apps in the start menu the list filled the whole space that the Start menu takes up (I.e. goes across all the tiles too), rather than just scrolling up. Its really frustrating having a massive screen and then having to scroll through my apps in a list that only shows about 10 at a time!
