Windows 10

Either Microsoft are being lazy in producing us with a good qual OS, or they are going down the one OS route for all devices, trying to save a few quid.

Yeah Im in the same boat as you Rroff, I hate the look and feel of win10 compared to win7.

Yeah, we got the point you don't like win 10 30 posts ago.

Talking about being lazy, I don't think you can get much lazier than "qual" instead of "quality".

im saying i've found out the windows 10 recovery tool is different to 8.1 as on windows 10 recovery tool it copys the windows installation files

But my point was that if your HDD blows up you can reinstall using the recovery media, which you disputed claiming its only a 500mb tools drive, and now agree its actually the full installation media...

So... were in agreement then? You'll be able to full install a clean Windows 10 using an Upgrade license using either the Reset feature in the OS, the Recovery media created within Windows, or using the media created using the download Microsoft have confirmed will be available.

?

Upgrade > Use "Reset" feature in W10 = Fresh install. None of this format nonsense.

why don't get it... i was talking about 8.1 recovery tool which only gives the tools and i thought w10 recovery tool was same then i just found out it's not the same so hence why i posted that link.. the w10 recovery built in tool gives u full recovery media

At the end of the day, its released on the 29th July. Which means by the 30th July 'the Internet' will have tested and fully detailed every possible way to install, reinstall, clean install, update and eat a burger :D

I'll just wait until then.

The only question I want asked is if you can use the W10 media to clean install using a Winows 7 key, without having updated that key at all.

Purely because I'm too lazy to reinstall 7 and upgrade through it on the 2 machines I need to do it too :p

Probably the same as windows 8.1. use a placement key then change the key after install...

I'm definitely waiting until the games I play most often are found to have no issues and all the motherboard drivers etc are ready for Win 10.

Classic Shell will be going straight on it :p
