Windows 10

Updating from 8.1 to 10 on my laptop has removed Onedrive Pro, hope it lets me reinstall as it will suck not having onedrive in the file explorer, this is something that should have been added to the O/S.

Edit, oh dear, that appears to be a no, running the installer says that a newer version (the app) is already installed >.<, hopefully it will let me delete the app.

Edit Edit, okay it looks like configuring the app installs the desktop client afterwards, well that was very intuitive, not :P

I have just had an idea regarding my Windows 10 setup.

So in order to get my config I currently have I used OOBE (SYSPREP) and made a script to move the users folder to another drive. Now, i'm thinking, if I force boot the system into OOBE again, and revert the changes I did the the users file location and then start up the Windows 10 installer, I should be able to preserve my settings and stuff right?

It might be hopeful thinking, but I would have thought that it would work, thoughts?
 
just installed steam, it detects it as windows 8.1
but games seem to work, haven't tested all off them yet.
but haven't come across any games or software which doesn't work yet.

That's because it's basically Windows 8.1.1, it's highly unlikely a game that worked in 7/8 isn't going to work in 10. The only way it won't is if it's been coded to only run on specific operating systems and 10 won't be on the list.
 
CPU-z and HWMonitor both won't install, citing compatibility issues. Even running the installers with compatibility mode ticked doesn't get around it.

It's a problem with the installer not recognising the OS, both are running fine for me on an install upgraded from W7.
 
anyone able to play elite dangerous on windows 10? For me it freezes at the options menu. Want to know if its windows or some other issue.
