Windows 10

windows feedback is already filling up with stupid support queries. Some guy doesn't know how to resize the start menu so he makes a feedback saying.

Is there a way to scale the start menu.

Does it look like you going to get answer buddy? this is feedback and bug reporting not a support forum. why are people so dumb?

I think they banned me for posting a response to a feedback saying it was stupid. lol

^ I'm going to be upgrading later mate, with two AMD GPU's in Xfire. Will keep you posted on how it works out.

Okay, so I have told you guys what my current config is...
What do you guys do with a smaller SSD in the system and a separate data drive? How do you go about not filling up your SSD?

Buy a 256gb ssd for £80?

I install everything on my ssd including games. I don't have many games installed though, just bf4, d3 and quake live. I have 100gb free.

I just installed windows 10 on my work pc. All applications work ok. Went from windows 7. Only problem i have had is the RSAT tools for windows 10 don't work for some reason.

That's good news for us AMD users.

Currently i'm skint, if only I had £80 lol. :(

Can anyone offer me some suggestions on changing my config for Windows 10?
What methods do you guys use to stop your SSD filling up with your user files?

How big is your appdata folder?

Use software like http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/

Keep your appdata as small as you can by clearing out the temp folders. Some image programs like xnview create a thumbnail database, if i leave mine unchecked it can rise to 50gb.

You can redirect your librarise folders using the built in option to add secondary locations, then just move the files to a second disk. That way when you save to my documents it still saves to my docs but the location is on a second disk its transparent.

If you do not have a lot of space then install games on to a second disk.

You can turn charms off in W8 too, it has the exact same option O.o

Yeah but all that charms and metro junk was always in the background :p Every now and then it would switch onto the much hated start screen.. Then you would have that little box on top left of the screen to shutdown all the different Windows... Yuk..

Having an OS detect what you're using at the start is the way forward. This OS is nice and fast as well.

Downloading the Enterprise version now, think I'll move to that one for the long haul until the last Enterprise iteration comes out next year.

X99 + Maxwell + W10 ftw :D

For those wondering how to get Libraries back in the file explorer:

  1. Open File Explorer and expand the View tab.
  2. Go to Options > Folder Options on the right side of the ribbon.
  3. Go to the General tab and check the "Show Libraries" checkbox at the bottom of the window. Click OK.

----------------------------------------------------------

Anyone found a way to get rid of the search button from the taskbar yet? having a button next to the start button that doesn't do anything extra is just stupid lol (why would I click that and type when I can click start and type :S)
