I wonder if they'll release an ISO/installer on day 1, or if this'll be an App Store only upgrade until people complain enough about it.

Hopefully MS would have learned their lesson from the 8/8.1 debacle.

Presumably they're using the unreleased internal builds if they've got Cortana, and he keeps mentioning "early build" warnings so I'd say a long way off yet.

Belfiore is demonstrating Cortana emailing Terry Myerson "about a very big moment." Cortana is dictating things perfectly. So you can use Cortana to send emails without typing at all. I can't wait to spam my Verge colleagues just by using my voice.

Be rolling out new updates to insiders for the coming months, I wouldn't expect full release till octoberish.

Yay now on to phones and small tablets.

this is the bit I'm more interested in and we've seen lots about w10 and pretty much nothing about the phone version.

CNET is saying free to win7 users after the first year, however they also said they are expecting more info on price and release date at some point in this conference.

i'd be wary tbh. free upgrade (for the first year) could mean either:

a) you can upgrade for free for the first year and keep win 10 permanently for free

or

b) win 10 is subscription and you only get 1 year free, and then have to pay through your nose in subs.

i hope it's (a) but knowing ms, it may well be (b )
