I don't even get the 2004 option to download the update.

When I was on 1909, PC and laptop, 2004 wasn't even available through Windows Update. Nor 20H2. So no idea why it was hidden from me since 20H2 went in no problem via update assistant.

yeh I tried it, tells me there’s a compatibility problem with my thunderbolt 3 card so have to wait for Microsoft to flip a switch.

I have no idea. Going to wait it out if it's a thunderbolt 3 issue.

Windows 10 2004 was released in late May. Here it is December and I never got it. Surely that's not right?

Granted it was about this time I manually updated to 1909. Sometime between October - December.

Manual update doesn't work, they have made sure I think now that anyone updating with hardware that's affected it won't update. I'm running it now just to be sure and I'll post a screenshot of said message what comes up soon.

I might make an imago of my OS drive and use that to see if it offers any reason why I'm not being given the chance to update to 20H1/20H2 yet. At this rate, I might wait until 21H1.

I wonder if I force it by installing 20h2 with a fresh install usb pen. Don't wanna lose my recovery drive though just in case. I might end up with BSODS.

Its Patch Tuesday

EDIT: KB4592438 - Version 19042.685 (if on 20H2).

Took a good 10 mins or so to install, and had an oddity, the TM was just a little White square saying, No Running Apps, and all the other Tabs, Performance etc..., were also blank, was about to do another restart, when it suddenly just populated, and is all fine now, weird

I keep my 1909 installation up-to-date, I will be clean installing 21H1 anyway.

Read they can break the Start menu with the security updates, well they may have done it again, as i had to do a restart earlier, to get the bugger back

I've never seen so many updates that now requires sfc /scannow to sort it.

Sloppy Microsoft testing.

I have 1909 update on my laptop and 20H2 update on my main rig. Still waiting for 20H2 on laptop.

I think it was since 1803? Not sure. I've seen so many sfc /scannow integrity violations after major updates. Before that it would be marked as none found.

Things like the settings not working, start menu not working until the command was run. Quite unreal to think we're now 5 years into this and it's still getting worse. Shoddy, shoddy testing.

I'll do sfc /scannow just for laughs see if it comes back with anything.
