EDIT: should have noticed the last few comments. Seems to be this is the latest stable ver.

Good!

"Stable" for Windows' versions is very relative. You know all those patches that bring so many bugs to the end users?!

I think I will get to the Dev Channel once I get my new rig up and running with a new RX 6800 XT 16GB graphics card that I patiently wait until it gets in stock and normal pricing.

Maybe the Dev Channel versions are better?

Microsoft is still struggling with broken Windows 10 updates
https://www.techradar.com/news/microsoft-is-still-struggling-with-broken-windows-10-updates

"It looks like Microsoft is still struggling with releasing Windows 10 updates that appear to break more than they fix.
Recently, the company released the cumulative KB4598291 update, which was meant to fix several bugs that have been hanging around since the October 2020 Update. While it appears that most of these issues are now fixed, it seems like the update has a few problems of its own.

As Windows Latest reports, some users are reporting on Microsoft’s Feedback Hub that the update – which at the moment remains optional – is failing to install. It seems like the install almost completes, then throws up an unhelpful error message saying the install failed (without explaining why).

Just received the KB5001028 out-of-band Cumulative Update tonight, which fixes some WPA3 issue - I'd be grateful, but I don't have a WPA3 network yet, nor does my PC have Wi-Fi. :D
Further reading and information on that update here: Microsoft issues emergency fix for Wi-Fi foul-up delivered hot and fresh on Patch Tuesday - The Register
Microsoft has issued an out-of-band Windows 10 patch to fix a self-inflicted error that can crash devices that attempt to access Wi-Fi networks secured with Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3) standard.

The code landed in a January 21 preview build of upcoming Windows 10 and Windows Server releases. And then it landed in KB4601315 three days ago on Patch Tuesday.

If you've adopted either update and use WPA3, it has the unintended consequence of occasionally delivering a steaming fresh serve of Blue Screen of Death.

Or as Microsoft puts it.

You might receive stop error 0x7E in nwifi.sys with a blue screen when you attempt to use a Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3) connection. You are more likely to encounter this issue when reconnecting to a Wi-Fi network after disconnecting, or when waking from sleep or hibernation.

The good news is that there's not a lot of WPA-3 out there, so relatively few users will be affected. The out-of-band patch described in kb5001028 should also arrive automatically.

Unless you can't get into a Wi-Fi network because of the bug, in which case The Register wishes you a happy weekend figuring that out. ®

Looking to buy a 1TB m.2 soon (for the space saving, speed wont make that much difference for games) and need some advice on setup. Currently I have a 120GB SSD, 500Gb SSD and a 1TB SSD. Windows is on the 120GB with my user folder and installed programs on the 500GB SSD and the 1TB solely for games.

120GB 80GB used
500GB 259GB used
1TB SSD 850GB used

Should I install windows to the m.2 and keep my user files and programs on this or split them as I have been doing? It seems less effort and simpler to just have them all on the same drive. Then I can combine the 500GB and 1TB for games and have the 120GB free for anything else.

Anyone had any issues on the latest update? I've had audio drivers crashing and issues with restarting/shutting down the machine not actually working, it'll switch my monitor off but the computer keeps running...
