I don't mind those icons.
I can't say I like the new icons at all. They might be acceptable if you want to run Windows on a Fisher Price tablet, but they're not acceptable for everyday desktop use.I have always preferred the more swish icons, that are a kind of chrome/shiny/glassy kind of effect.
These Icons however, are not only ridiculously offensive to the intelligence of the user, they are astonishingly painful to just have to put up with too!
I think that they are as basic as they are, so it does not require much CPU% to render them, and therefore giving the false impression that the O/S is faster than it actually is.
I swear they must have a department whose sole purpose is to do the opposite of what people want?!

Hell, if icons are all that people can find to complain about right now then Win10 must be in pretty good shape!
The disjointed start menu. The lack of search when you have the start bar down the side. The (still) pointless folders on 'This PC' part of windows explorer.
Have they fixed the poor wifi management options? Is Windows update back yet?
I have a new Dell XPS 13 non touch screen model ordered. I am thinking about ditching Windows 8.1 straight away and sticking Windows 10 on it when I receive it on March 19th. Would I be stupid to do so?
The Laptop isn't my main system it is just used for travelling and when I am having lazy days and don't want to use my main computer.
