i disabled windows from auto updates and in the catalyst control panel, under software updates i unticked both boxes.

Serves you right for using drivers from a company that died way back before Windows 8, let alone Windows 10 ;)

Just did that, and it's still just updated AGAIN to the Microsoft version!!!

I'll see, nut I think it's broken MPC-HB/BE playback again!!! :( (VLC and Kodi still work... for now!)

***update***

Yep!! MPC doesn't work at all!!! just crashes when I load a video file!. Both VLC and Kodi work... to a fashion! The video plays all the way to the end, but if I let the video play out and stop, the the Program crashes!!!

Which isn't a problem really, as I can watch video files!, it's just very annoying!!!

Nope! I went back to 14.9 (couldn't find 14.11) unticked the 'automatic update' thinggy, re-booted and it's updating to the latest for me again!!! :(

Nope!

Installed the driver from that link, Made sure all the boxes were 'unticked', Rebooted and it again installed it's own update breaking MPC-BE/HC :(

you have disabled windows from auto updating itself?

if you havent it will ever so helpfully decide there is a newer driver and update you to the broken one

Looks like Stardock one of the first to jump on a new Win10 beta Start menu.
