Windows 10

Nope, downloading driver from reatek hasn't worked either, gets around 98% through and then an error.

Hope there's a fix soon. Or perhaps I'll try a fresh install from an ISO.

10041 here, and still having WIFI issues, mainly between my Ralink r3290 adapter and cisco 3200 router...

Apart from the WIFI and "Pin" issues, I'm seeing that it is a little more stable and smoother...

EDIT, forgot about the Remote Desktop APP problems: when full screening a connection it doesn't resize, not sure if this is build or app problem though.

Update to 1049 is far better, not having any off the issues I had with 1041.
Including WiFi doesn't disconnect every time it sleeps now.

It's a fast update, it's about updates to features, rather than optimisation. Not much point in wasting time optimizing. When these steps aren't going to be in final release.
Part and parcel of beta software, just normal beta software is much smaller than a full os.

I'm having issues with picture password, already reported it.
Sometimes it just shows the lock screen photo, rather than picture password.
And sometime you get half picture password and half solid grey.
The fact that sometimes it shows as the lock screen photo, to me suggests it's not gfx driver issue.

Either way hope they fix it. even with mouse much prefer picture password.

Then you install it.

You won't have to buy it.

It's like saying those of us who got win8 for £25 would have to rebuy as there was no media.

No physical media, however there was an ISO :)

I agree though, can't see it being an issue. It'll be the same as the MCE addon that was offered free with Windows 8. You had to activate it before a certain date. As long as you did that, you could reinstall to your heart's content and it'd continue working.

There wasn't an ISO to begin with, it was that silly windows update program.

if people who upgrade their motherboard would technically be a new device so they would have to pay?

That hasn't applied since win7, win8 licenses had a massive change. Other than preinstalled. That coupled with you inherit the rights from the your original license?
Makes that very unlikely indeed. Well so unlikely it won't be that.

i think win 7 upgrade it goes on what your original license your upgrading from, but win 8 they changed that.

but the way MS is saying about windows 10 they will support/update for the life of the device makes it sound like they are changing it again

Not at all. It just sounds like they haven't released much info and for most people they buy new devices, not upgrade like computer enthusiasts.

People are reading far much into nothing, for something that hasn't really been talked about, and getting their knickers in a twist.
