Windows 10

10056 has been leaked, subtle changes but ui looks much better.

Oh and MS and Miele have signed a new partnership to make smart appliances with IoT.
Hopefully more will sign on.

That webpage is severely screwed formatting wise.
Don't get to excited, I can't read what ever you've linked. But that will be RTM, so actual release in ~October as RTM is generally 3 months before general release. Gives time for PEMs to finally products, get them made and shipped to stores.

Edit - site now working, as above.

anyone else find the syncing between all machines a bit annoying?

i now have 3 machines with win10 on and every time i change something on one it updates all the rest. bit annoying. also, since i installed all this my win8.1 tablet seems to spend a lot more time syncing stuff in the store, even though i havent added any new apps

No, it's fantastic.
If you don't want certain things go to settings and disable what you dont want syncing. It's the same as w8

LinusTechTips WAN show had a topic saying that AMD accidently leaked that Windows 10 is to be released in June.

Which is to be expected, however that will be Release To Manufactures. Public will get it about 3months after that. So no earlier than anyone expected with it being publicly released around October.

 Forgot about build. But continuum is coming to phone. Do full pc on your phone. Wonder if anyone will release an atom phone which can do x86 apps.

Cool,
They've add ios and android to visual studio. Meaning app developers can reuse almost all there code from android/ios apps to make windows 10 universal apps.

Should help the store a lot. Lets hope anyway.

Also project Spartans official name is Microsoft Edge

I want hololens.

Mines been on preparing to install for ages.
Tablet mode is meant to be much less broken in this version, I hope so.

And liked all the announces at build.
I just hope the start screen in tablet mode and how it worlds for win32 apps is decent, so far it's been atrocious.

You can enable it in desktop.
Right click taskbar > navigation > when I point to top right corner, show the charms.
But I cant get it to work either with mouse or shortcut keys. But I know others have.

if you could stop it using bing to search and use google would be brilliant. using edge right now

the settings there, so when it launches you can change it to what you want.

anyone see how to turn names off on the favorites bar? on ie you right clicked. but I cant see anything on spartan.
and they should have kept spartan as the name.

Just because they now open in a window rather than full screen doesn't suddenly mean the Modern UI versions of the apps are any good for a multi monitor, large display computer.

Neither does it mean they are rubbish. Plenty are better than the alternatives.
It's about using the best for each case, not automatically dismissing them out of some silly ill thought out logic.

And KIA obviously thinks the Modern apps aren't the best in his case :p

You will probably be in the minority if you think the Modern apps are the best for desktop user. Also, dismissing touch focused apps when you don't have a touch screen is hardly silly I'll thought out logic.

Well it is as they aren't touch focused.
If anyone thinks that media websites/x86 software is better than the modern apps on any device is frankly mad and hasn't tried them.
Give me now TV, Netflix, audible, amil, calendar etc over the website/x86 software any day of week, they are far better on any pc system.

All of which aren't remotely productive applications at all. If you are using your device as an entertainment platform then I'd agree that the app approach works.
For people wishing to actually do work on a computer then they're a useless fluffy pain in the arse

He was talking about media apps.
And I also said use the best software available. sometimes that's x86, sometimes that modern apps.
Most people use computers for everything, not one or another.
