You will have to if you upgrade hardware anyway, regardless of if you take the Windows 10 update.

Well ive gone back to Windows 8.1 pro as half the stuff I do doesnt work properly on Windows 10 yet. I think ill wait a few months after release before I switch over.

Does anyone use madvr + mpc-hc with an amd card? Its the only thing I have found that doesn't work right for me on 10130. Its a causes the driver to crash and not recover everytime >.>

I have got a bit of other work to do before then anyway, so wouldn't mind waiting a few more days to get a later, and hopefully more stable, build.

10134, 10135, 10147 & 10150 are all in other chains at the mo so tes there will be other builds before the 29th.

10130 is just the current official build for fast and slow rings.

I've done several system refreshes with an OEM copy and never had a problem. Use the MS telephone activation method.

Although that does work it does infringe the license agreement doesn't it?

Technically it's tied to the mobo, although most of the time it's easy to activate. which is all most people care about.

Had a quick read through the thread and I think I'm confusing myself with the answer I'm looking for. With my Current SSD running windows 7, if I were to upgrade it to windows 10 when it is released, am I able to take that SSD out and put it in another machine fine? I was thinking of waiting for windows 10 to come out, then put my SSD into a No OS machine I'm looking to buy and go from there. Or would it be safer just to move the SSD over with 7 on it, give it a fresh reinstall and go from there. I was thinking I would need to do a fresh install with windows 10 just to be on the safe side, if it allows me to.

support for the next x amout of years moe then 8.1 and 7
it wil be the operating system every one will be using because of the free uupgrade.

If your signature is current, the reduced CPU overhead could see dramatic fps increases from your AMD card (~25% or so) in Windows 10, with CPU intensive games like pCARS.

I don't like where they put the settings menu in 10130 ... I couldn't see a way to get to windows updates without going through the start menu (or is that just me?)

Windows 10 marks a complete shift in how Microsoft will manage and distribute OSs from now on, and the upgrade is a way to get off the legacy format and onto the new format for free.

Not taking the upgrade your would be very foolish.

Then you can't (technically) transfer the license to another machine anyway, regardless of SSD swapping or clean install.
