At the point you enable Cortana it should ask for your permission for each item. Not be enabled by default regardless. It's "overly" sharey by default because it needs to be. How else can Cortana work, how can settings and files be uploaded to one drive etc.
You can pin some folders to the left hand side, but that is it as far as I can find. Thanks, i couldn't find a way. It looks like there was in the preview builds as i found something on google about it, but i don't have the options in the release version.
How do I get Cortana to talk?
Also, I thought this was supposed to be a smaller install than W7. I started out before upgrade with 611GB free, after it's sitting at 590GB.
Why?No it shouldn't.
I forced my update using the iso in the end. I had a couple of hiccups and the upgrade failed but a clean install went fine.
Quite enjoying the new look and features - especially the virtual desktops. I'm coming from Win7 so quite the upgrade.
Also Ctrl + Windows + left/right jumps virtual desktops quickly! I can see this quickly becoming my most used shortcut.
Anyone know if NOD32 likes W10 yet?
Why?
