Windows 10

So far 3 of mine have found the update and then failed to install it

Same here with a laptop running the release version of 10 Pro x64. Have updated the laptop using the 10586 ISO instead from MS and it upgraded flawlessly.

Desktop updated via the insider option (fast ring) from the release version of 10 Pro x64 to 10586 just fine.

I don't understand MS logic with this Windows Update, why doesn't a downloaded update remain cached somewhere, surely they must get hammered on their servers for repeated downloads when such a simple fix would solve. Surely they are cached after a successful upgrade so that other devices on your network can benefit but seems odd that it's only cached after being applied. No sign of it showing up again for a second time after the earlier fail :(

PC 1
- failed the first time
- worked the second time
- but uninstalled cpu-z automatically

PC 2
- worked the first time
- but uninstalled cpu-z automatically

That might be due to the fact that at some point (not sure if its still the case) the installer package of CPU-z came bundled with hidden adware that was little better than malware.

Installed on all 5 of my computers, installed first time round on all of them.

Also did a fresh install on a spare PC using a Windows 7 key, also worked and activates fine.
